I know it was mentioned in one of the other forums, but these ads are getting so horrible. Just to create this thread I had to click through 6 ads. I’ll close one, another will pop up. Then it will take me back to the forum beginning after I close that one. Then another ad will pop up, I closed it, one more ad, close it, then click on the “Create New Post” button for the second time. The same things happen when I just try to reply or open another forum. I’m spending more time closing ads than I am posting. Very frustrating. And it’s only on my phone, which I use to post 90% of the time.
I've recently had a lot more ads, though not as many as you say. I use Chrome on my phone, FWIW. Almost all of the new, more intrusive ones are from Temu, who I've never once visited. On my laptop, I use Firefox with several ad blockers, and have absolutely zero issues. And this is how I visit the board the majority of the time. I usually only use my phone if I'm out of the house for a really extended time, like I was over the holidays when I first noted the changes.
I use chrome on my phone, also. My laptops ad blocker does well. My phone, however, is just frustrating. And like you, it’s recent. It took me maybe 4-5 clicks to make this reply.
I'm sorry its such a big deal for you. Its not that way for me. Its a weird kind of pull up/down ad that I click on once to make it go away. Like a window blind. Just have to wait a few seconds and then click the right spot when it appears.
That’s how it used to be for me until literally a couple of days ago. Even when, I can’t remember who posted about it in the Club, talked about it I didn’t have this issue. Now, wow. I had to click reply 3 times after closing 3 full page ads just to make this reply.
