...is a 'Phins fan.
All of a sudden, I like his show more than I ever did (which is saying something).

Chanel 10 (South FL). They were doing a special ont eh South Beach Food and Wine Festival and interviewed the man, giving him a custom 'Phins jersey and everything. What made it interesting is that he's a Brooklyn native.

Old news.
Met him on MNF few years ago. Very cool dude.
For those still out the loop, Tosh.O is a fins fan as well. -
first of all this guy is not cool, he is a straight clown, such a herb. try's so hard to be funny. makes me not want to watch the show. . he had that episode with big Jake and some other OL for a competition a couple years back.
Tosh seems like a cool dude, now he's hilarious. -

If he keeps eating the way he is at this stage of his life, he won't be around much longer to see the Dolphins actually turn the franchise around. He seems like a nice guy and I realize that he is making a good living eating all the junk he does, but all that junk is not going to lead to a long life for him. A lot less meat and a lot more fruit and veggie's will help him over the long term.

Do you donate time money or food to those children in any amount that has a tangible effect on their lives?

Indeed, some of you are taking this way too seriously.
He's a good guy and he's a big Dolphins fan.
I liked a few years ago, when he was taking the Shula steak challenge before the Super Bowl, he had on a shirt that said, "I STILL CALL IT JOE ROBBIE".

My point was that they are both idiots on TV who make a mockery of food. One does so by eating himself sick on National TV and the other does so by making unedible arts and crafts projects he calls "cake" all the while having an unbearable "I think I'm hilarious but I'm really just a fat hipster *******" persona.
And for the person who asked, yes I do participate in food drives and other such charities to help hungry people.
FYI - Adam doesn't really eat on TV anymore. His show is now called Man v Food Nation. He rounds up locals who willingly take the challenges now.
I think it's a bit disingenuous to suggest he just went around stuffing face on TV. He went around the country to restaurants and took their existing, in-house 'challenges', as well as other restaurants who just made good food (no challenges). Are these restaurants also bad for creating these challenges?
Is it fair to assume you're not a fan of Don and David Shula because they offer a steak challenge at all their restaurants? One which Adam completed in front of them, BTW. Even promoting on their website?

I've seen the show and he appears to be a good guy. I just have to seriously question how many years he is taking off his life eating all the junk he does on those shows. I certainly realize that the show is done for entertainment purposes, but as a fellow Dolphin fan, I would love to see him around for many more years to come. Anyone who watches what he eats on his show and doesn't realize the long term negative effects of eating like this should examine their own eating habits.
No, that wouldn't be fair. I completed the 48 oz challenge myself a few years back.
Listen, I'll admit I'm probably being way to hard on this guy and the cake jack ***. I wasn't drunk last night, so I won't blame alcohol, but I was tired and cranky and let my hatred of the food network shows that my wife watches way too much of explode.
I used to like a lot of these shows back in the day. Feasting on Asphalt, even Man vs. Food. But when it devolved into crappy restaurants that never even had a food challenge before dude showed up just putting some unoriginal eat a 20lb burrito crap fest, my interest turned to hatred.
It just seems like every time she puts that channel or any other food show on Bravo or the other crap cable stations, there's some gelatinous blob having a disingenuous food orgasm in his mouth as he takes a bite of a disgusting pile of food.
David Letterman sums up my thoughts perfectly in this clip -
http://videos.nymag.com/video/David... Letterman's Preemptive Apology to Rachel Ray
I think my bleeding heart views are pretty well known here, so what I'm about to say may seem crazy.
I understand what you and Letterman are saying, the problem is having shows about large amounts food and solving world hunger aren't mutually exclusive. We can do both. There's no need to bash a show like Man vs Food, because there are less fortunate people out there. You can help people who need it AND enjoy yourself watching the Food Network.
I mean Letterman is a known cigar smoker. Should he not appear on the cover of Cigar Affectionado because people have lung cancer? No.
Let me just make one thing clear, I don't only hate those shows because of where I stand on the hunger thing. I hate them mainly because in my opinion, they're terrible shows and the schtick of these foodies is unbearable to me.
I'm with you on Food Network. I don't watch that crap anymore. I watched them when they used to have real shows, and real Chefs on there. Now it's just entertainment and reality shows.
The only real food shows left are on PBS Satuday mornings.
But let's be real here, he may be pigging out in real life, but we don't know that. He does what, 10, 15 shows a year? That's 10-15 days of pigging out a year. So maybe he doesn't eat well normally, maybe all he does is eat healthful foods.
But I think it's cool hes such a huge Dolphins fan, and he's from Brooklyn.

Anyone who refers to the themselves as a "foodie" is a dope. True food enthusiasts cringe at that word.
Adam seems ok to me....unlike that d-bag named Guy Fieri, with his frosted white hair, who does that Diner's show. I am sure Adam doesn't normally eat like he does on his food challenges, and he now has other people doing food challenges. I still like Tosh a lot more. He's hilarious.
