AFC East James Walker Blog: Should Dolphins wait or chase Matt Flynn?

Don't think Flynn will be signing somewhere for a while.

 

In the past I would buy into Flynn. But this decade has ruined me, ill just keep expecting .500 or less and a Qb bust until they prove they can be a contender. Assuming we don't get Manning.

 

I don't want my team waiting on any player if it means missing on making the team better.

 

I am still not convinced that Manning is or will be healthy enough anyway. I've been on board with Flynn for a while. I feel since he has a relationship with Philbin, already knows the offense and is potentially a long term solution at QB that it just makes sense. You never really know with a back-up Qb how good they will be, he could be Aaron Rodgers or he could be Scott Mitchell. Flynn did win a national championship at LSU and has had two great games in his last 2 starts as a pro, but you really just don't know because the sample size is small.

 

Where i live in new england they are saying their is a report saying we are not pursuing flynn
