This is like that commercial where the team misses the kick but the announcer says there's a flag on the play.
Hahahahahahahaha!!!!! By the logic of some people, we (who hung 70 on Denver) are now 2356x better than Buffalo (who just lost at home to those same Broncos). PS. Not sure about the math there - have Brad check my work.
Wilson had a 117 passer rating this game. He had a 101 this year before this game. He’s one of the bet QB’s in football and has been for a longtime.
Dude, the only significant throws he completed in this game were miracle accidents. He's not one of the best QBs in football and hasn't been for years.
Didn’t see his first TD pass? He currently has around the 3rd or 4th highest passer rating in the league. He had a down year last season ( first year in Denver) but he’s been consistently a top 5 QB in the league his entire career.
Yep. Reporters were commenting that even in the midst of their rancid start, he couldn't be blamed because other things were going wrong. Including the coaching and the defense. He's turned things around this season from last.
He is definitely not one of the best but people wouldn't be so down on him if it wasn't for last year. Hackett really seems to be that bad. He has been solid enough that he is probably underrated at this point.
No, it’s not whatever I say. His play speaks for itself. He’s currently like 3rd or 4th in passer rating. Sans last year, he regularly finished in the top 5 in passer rating. He’s been to 2 SB’s with one win. He could retire today and he would be in the HoF in 5 years. He had a 117 passer rating last night. He played better against the Bills than nearly any QB over the past 5-6 years.
The Bills are now 5-5. In all, eleven AFC teams are currently at or above .500. Over the final seven games, Buffalo plays the Eagles in Philadelphia, the Chiefs in Kansas City, the Cowboys, and the Dolphins in Miami. If it’s going to take 10 or 11 wins to make it to the AFC playoff field, will Buffalo go 5-2 or 6-1 against those opponents? If they do, it will be documentary-worthy, regardless of what happens in the postseason. If it’s going to happen, something needed to change. The firing of offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey is that change. In his press conference after last night’s 24-22 loss to the Broncos, coach Sean McDermott made it clear that something was coming. “I think I need a little bit of time here just to assess that,” McDermott told reporters in response to the question of whether something “drastic” needs to happen. “Obviously, I’m not real happy right now so, you know, I’ll evaluate that or the next 24 hours and see where it takes us.” It was an ominous remark. For good reason. Still, what can be done? The next train — in the form of the Jets’ defense — is already on the track and arriving in only five days. How much better can things be by Sunday? That’s to be determined. Regardless, today’s news is an about-face for McDermott, who said he wasn’t considering a change at offensive coordinator after the Week 9 loss to the Bengals. Said McDermott last night about Dorsey, “I’m confident, but I believe we can be better at the same time.” Quarterback Josh Allen, while obviously in zero danger of getting benched, could be in line for some hard coaching under interim offensive coordinator Joe Brady. “I think he’s played well at times and then at times he hasn’t,” McDermott said of Allen. “You can’t turn the ball over, so we’ve got to figure that out.” If they don’t figure that out, Dorsey won’t be the last change. He’ll be the first. And, eventually, McDermott will be joining Dorsey as former employees of the Bills.
I didn’t realize Ken Dorsey was the one throwing those interceptions or fumbling the ball. The only thing consistent about Josh Allen is his inconsistency.
Every show today is saying the Bills are back!!! Imagine that after beating a terrible team at home. Meanwhile, it's Miami looked bad against a now under .500 team at home.
The narrative is stupid. Neither Hurts or Mahomes are having very good games against teams Tua had about average games against. Their respective offenses have done to each what the Dolphins did to both. And that’s with horrible refs in the Eagles game and a bad call that led to the go ahead TD for KC.
Sources say that Aaron Rodgers wants to play this season. He hasn't been cleared to practice yet, but he sounds like he will come back this season if the team clears it.
I’d bet $1 million that Rodgers doesn’t play against this season. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because he won’t be able to.
I think the only reason he still is considering this is because he sees it as a feather in his cap, because Brady, Manning, etc., never came back from an injury like that in the same season.
It really is like that at every game, pro and college. There's always one drunk idiot that can't stop talking smack and making players furious. While I don't support that type of behavior, it is hilarious!
Bills linebacker Von Miller is facing a domestic violence case in Dallas. WFAA reports that Miller’s longtime girlfriend accused him of assaulting her at their home in Dallas on Wednesday morning and a warrant has been issued for Miller’s arrest. The warrant was for a charge of assaulting a pregnant person, a third-degree felony. The Bills are on their bye week and Miller is from the Dallas suburbs. Miller was previously investigated for domestic violence in 2021, but was not charged. The 34-year-old Miller is in his second season with the Bills after previously playing for the Rams in 2021. He was selected by the Broncos with the second overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft and played with them until he was traded to the Rams. It is unclear what Miller’s status will be with the Bills and the NFL in light of today’s news. Players accused of domestic violence are often placed on the commissioner’s exempt list, which means they do not play while the accusation is investigated.
Bills are crumbling to the ground. All that's left is Diggs or Allen to throw a punch at one another on the sidelines.
I DO NOT want to face the Bills in the postseason. By all rights they should have won that Eagles game. Sure, JA threw a killer INT that led to the Eagles having a short field and the go ahead TD, but if not for the refs that TD wouldn't have mattered. Von Miller has been doing nothing this season. If anything, this may be a way out for them on his massive contract. So in a sense, and as horrible his crime is if he's guilty, it may actually help the Bills. I keep seeing people laugh about some of these power rankings that have the Bills as a top 5 team right now, but if I'm being honest it's closer to reality than they think. I mean, they were up 10 points at halftime even though the refs screwed them royally and the Eagles needed a 59 yard FG to tie the game. They will fight the Chiefs hard and may win that game. I really hope they lose even though a KC loss would help our seeding chances. The magic number for the Dolphins to win the division is 4. 4 wins and they win the division. 2 wins and 2 losses by the Bills, and the Dolphins win. Any combination to get that 4 and we win. Let's hope that after the Bills play KC, and if we win on Sunday, that number is down to 2.
As far as the division goes, I won’t be relaxed until it’s actually clinched. Not taking anything for granted.
