Hmm considering this game, can't play it on my laptop but I have a nice desktop that will handle it. Anyone play WoW that has this game? How do they compare?
hmmm well I played wow only for a little bit and I really didn't enjoy wow at all. I enjoy this game. I'm going to need more ram though.
I never played WOW, but my brother is a "pro" as they say... he says AoC blows it away in terms of graphics and overall game feel. Now there are a couple of issues that AoC has... the mage is pretty much unplayable, as it can't handle more than one mob at a time. I have a ranger and a priest and they can take care of themselves though . I did have to buy a new graphic's card though (NVIDIA GeForce 9600GT OC $179.99 @ Best Buy ), I'm wondering what everyone elses FPS is in this game? I'm getting about 95 fps with fairly average video settings (In game)... but I'm only running 1280x1024 resolution as that is the highest my monitor will go (it's a POS 19 in MAG but it works)...
Yea I'm going to need to upgrade the RAM in my desktop as well to play it, thats why I want some opinions before buying it. Pretty outrageous requirements. I can play WoW on my year and a half old Dell Laptop, came in handy in Afghanistan.
im rocking two graphic cards and a gig of ram and it still slows the hell out of my comp, hence the need for more ram. There does seem to be some issues, but thus far I enjoy it and it seems like it has alot of potential, now will it reach that potential.............................................

I like the game btw - its alot like the old computer version of D&D mixed with the new City of Heroes game. It is a little buggy though so far. When I ran into my first problem which seemed to have no solution, I just reinstalled and it worked fine.
I have a top of the line computer and it took me 2 times to get it installed right. I had to update my video and audio drivers, and it still kept locking up when I logged in. Eventually I logged in in windowed mode and it works fine now, even in full screen. I'm very use to Guild Wars, but I like it so far. Graphics are real good.
