How about Saunders? I know he's not a "name", but his offenses have always produced everywhere he goes. Of course, he's a Vermeil disciple, but alot of people say that Saunders had more to do with the Rams and Chief's offensive success than Vermeil did. Maybe not HC, if we get Sparano or whoever, but maybe take a look at him for the OC job?

Al Saunders has already been a head coach in the NFL. 2 1/2 seasons as head coach of the Chargers in the eighties. To label his tenure a failure is understatement. He's interviewed for many other head coaching jobs since, and has never been offered another. Saunders is being paid nearly as much in Washington to be an OC as some head coaches are being paid. Why would he make a lateral move unless he was fired? -
