steroids are a performance enhancer for all sports not just baseball, and its nuts (not just you) that media and everyone is concentrating so hard on steroids in baseball when its a complete joke how many guys have taken hgh and winny or debol in the nfl.....robert smith has even said he would say ATLEAST 60% of all nfl players have done steroids....
and interviewing guys in the lockeroom before, being off the record i have gotten alot of "yeah you wouldnt believe how many guys are on that stuff in locker rooms all across the nfl" i guess its so popular (the nfl) people dont wanna tarnish it....but steroids are very real and rampant in the nfl as well as baseball....HardKoreXXX and PMZQ like this. -
yeah but the difference between the nfl and baseball is the nfl doesn't suck.
yeah it's dirty in both sports but to me a clean NFL is much more entertaining than a clean baseball due to the nature of the sport.
i realize that's just my opinion and all..
if people can't play except while on steroids they don't need to be playing the game. period. -
-
yup i know that.
and there's a reason why it is a banned substance in both sports.
i know why it is scrutinized in baseball and can't figure out why it isn't cracked down on more in football.
like i said. it's dirty. if you can't play without taking steroids at a professional level then they need to fire them and get guys that can.
dirty sports is no fun -
agreed my friend
-
so what does this mean for A rod?
-
it means all these people that hated bonds breaking aarons records....who prayed their savior arod would break bonds record and put a clean player back on top are extremly dissapointed and this sport is worthless to watch because every single guy has cheated to get where he is.....its utterly ****ing heart breaking for baseball fans....because its WWE without the scripting......

I called Clemens being on roids long before the Mitchell report, but I'm surprised A-Rod is/was. As much as I hate the guy and think he's a creep, I didn't see this one coming. There's a group of guys I've never believed touched the stuff (Manny, A-rod, Griffey, etc...) but that philosophy is looking quite stupid...
Chalk another one up for Jose Canseco.PMZQ likes this. -
Yeah this isn't good news for baseball at all. I guess we can't say anyone in that era is clean now. I talked to two former players this morning who played in the MLB in the early 90s to the mid 2000s and one said that he thinks 95% of the players at least tried the stuff because everyone was on it. Too bad now because even if Arod tried the stuff just once there's going to be a lot of backlash once the guy breaks Bonds HR record.
Oh well, the MLB needs guys like David Wright, Hanley Ramirez, Dustin Pedroia, Chase Utley, Evan Longoria etc to pump some new blood into the sport and make it respectable again. -

Well it looks like Griffey might be the last guy standing after we find out that everyone but him was doing steriods. Honestly I don't really care that much about it, I'm not naive, I realize that a ton of players in baseball and certainly football take steriods or some enhancement drug. I'm not sure why baseball gets such a black eye from it and the NFL gets a free pass from the fans, both sports are filled with players on enhancement drugs.

I kind of wish they'd just drop the steroid witch hunt at this point. I think the goal of cleaning up the sport is coming to fruition. I dont need to know every player who tried it. I mean does Arod get blackballed from the Hall now also? Just seems like they're reaching a point where this is no longer helping MLB. If I were a player I would be pissed that the Union got me to take an anonymous drug test that is now coming back to bite me in the *** 6 years later.

2. NFL has some of the best testing in sports.
3. Prove there are guys juicing in the NFL and not getting caught. Until you can, fans can't ***** about it. -

-
I think this is just more bad publicity for MLB all around. The fact that it happens in other sports (including the NBA and NFL) doesn't make it okay for it to still happening. Bad news all around, really.

And the MLB giants continue to fall. I love it that he wont even address the issue and take responsibility for cheating. I used to be a baseball fan but the ridiculous stance taken by the players union on holding out for more money as well as being FULLY against steroid testing and tying to bring some credibility back to the game has just about killed it for me.
Sure, the NFL has its share of cheaters, but as a league at least they test a lot and are committed to stopping it. Unlike the MLB who pretty much waited until they were given no choice by Congress and public sentiment before they decided to work on the issue. -

It's baseball, who cares??

i'm interested to see the other 104 players. i hope you guys who are bashing arod, get your corn flakes pissed on when they announce the other ones.

steroids, questions, raised eyebrows, asterik talks, when everyone should be excited and happy.....they will be sad and feel cheated....this sucks big time :pity: -
Jose Canseco said this in his book, and again everyone laughed at him. Canseco is a buffoon, but his books have been dead on.
A-Rod just killed the Yankees, they are now asking in the papers about Rivera who went from a 91 mile per hour pitcher in the minors and all of the sudden in his next start a 99 mile per hour pitcher.
The only one that comes out smelling like roses besides Canseco is Jeter, who's declining numbers over the years makes you think he is legit.steveincolorado and Clark Kent like this. -
Of course assuming Jeter is clean and isn't one of the 104. That's why they should just release the rest of the names and get it over with.
