choo choo!!!!!!!!!!!! If we actually land Luck......oh I am salivating. Luck to Marshall. Luck to Hartline. Oh yeah!!!!
If you guys think Henne is the problem with this team your crazy. If anything he's been one of the few bright spots.
No doubt. If you are looking big picture for this franchise, it would be the best to happen to us since we got marino. Gotta take a step backwards if you wanna take 2 steps forward sometimes. To those who would say we are not real fans please answer this. If you could be guaranteed Andrew Luck but would have to go through a 1-15 season this year, would you do it?
Not saying he's the problem. But if have the chance to draft a prospect like Andrew Luck you do it. There are less than half a dozen teams who would pass on Luck.
Hopefully ross doesn't fire headcoach until after the season The last thing we need is tony to get fired before the season is over. As long as tony is in charge we have a real shot at luck,if ross fires him the team could start playing for the interim coach and that could cost us a franchise qb. And for all of you not wanting to mail in the season for a franchise qb wake the hell up.There is no point winning 5 or 6 games and getting a freaking right tackle we need a qb i want to win the superbowl someday this season is over
We have a win probably against Denver and against KC. That's all I can see right now. The rest of the schedule isn't easy and I think these guys are going to call it quits pretty soon. The most interesting thing they can do is become a high scoring let it rip offense.
Seriously? Because last I looked, the Browns game was the 2nd most winnable game left on the schedule aside from the Kansas City game.
I am not saying the defense played great today... BUT... The defense held the Texans to 23 points..... they scored 30+ today vs the Saints..... The Browns only scored 17.... You have to score points to win. You can't score 13 points, or 16 points, and hope your defense holds the other team to 12 or 15 points to win. That's not winning NFL football......
I think if we trade certain players we could do it. I don't think Soliai is going to stay I would trade him and Langford since it's quite possible we don't continue as a 3-4 next year.
I can see it now. We draft Luck and have an expectation that he'll be an All Pro in his rookie season. He isn't and the fanbase continues to flip out.
The Dolphins don't have to be the worst team in the NFL. We can be 1-15 and still be a better team than the 2-14 Seahawks..... it's just how the schedule works. I don't think the Dolphins are the worst team in football, but I do think the Dolphins have a shot at getting the #1 pick.
Im definitely on board. Wanna know how much difference a franchise QB can make.....look at Indy. From super bowl contender to borderline worst team in the league just by losing Manning. Not saying Luck will be Manning but he is a once in a decade if not longer talent. QBs are hard to judge out of college but this guy looks as much of a sure thing as any QB since Manning
Or we take our time with our young QB since we actually have some faith in a first round QB. We give him some years and enjoy the growth.
think long term man. If Luck becomes that franchise QB, im sure our Oline and D will be having a change of personal over the next 15 years.
We have one right tackle who gets blown by. No comparison to that line. We have a recovering Jake Long and a good C. Carey is mediocre, Incognito is mediocre, and Colombo is terrible.
See I'm not sure....what if they do get Luck and he's a bust??? But you know what, even so, the Dolphins haven't drafted a 1st round QB since Marino. It's time! At least we'll be able to say we tried. And let's be real...Luck looks amazing. If he's a bust it would be a total shock. We also need coaches who know how to use their talent though. Watching this staff continue to run Bush up the middle, instead of throwing screens and pitches which have worked well for Bush (and how the super bowl Champion saints used him), is beyond me. They don't know how to use talent. The O-Line isn't great...but it hasn't hurt Daniel Thomas has it? Henne can't overcome it, and Henne has shown he isn't a franchise starting QB.
It's certainly very possible. We're 0-3. The all three teams that beat us have shown themselves to be very beatable. Our coach is arguably on the hottest seat in the NFL. The team now knows the question is WHEN he'll be gone, not IF he'll be gone. Chad Henne looks improved but is taking 3 times more punishment than the average NFL quarterback and that's a proven fact. He will not survive this season at that rate, so if you're thinking that he is the reason we'll turn it around...keep that in mind. The defense has faded at the end of games now for the 3rd time in a row, this time fading from a position of strength. How much does this smell exactly like 2007? But seriously, who are we going to beat? New England? New York Jets? Giants? Eagles? Raiders? Chargers? Redskins? Cowboys? Bills? All of those teams look flat out BETTER than we do. The teams that don't necessarily look better, the Broncos and Chiefs...well, we play one of those at home and one on the road. Do we win both? Can we guarantee that? What record do you think it'll take to get the #1 pick? It doesn't always take 0-16 or 1-15. Sometimes 3-13 is good enough, or 2-14. Where are our wins coming from? How?
I do somewhat have to agree with Sick, as bad as this game was, the Seahawks ineptitude is incredible. I also think they are intentionally tanking. How else could you explain signing TJack to be your starter? They are a legit 0-16 candidate, and as bad as we are, I don't think we are THAT bad.
They have incredible home field advantage and plays in the worst division in football. They'll eek out wins. KC and Indy are our only competition imo.
That's a good point as well. You don't have to be the absolute worst team in the league to get the best pick. Look at 2007. Within months of having finished off that horrible year and getting the #1 pick, we're all the sudden a solid 11-5 playoff team. Does anyone think that was ALL roster turnover? Hell no. Parcells only turned over about a third to a half of the roster, a lot of those guys that went 11-5 that year were absolutely here in 2007. I saw a quote, someone quoted it, it was from a management article. It goes: That describes what is happening in Miami right now, and it's why yes...we could indeed get the #1 overall pick.
I can't see Indy being better than us. Seattle may get a win in there but I just don't see it. If Andrew Luck is a Dolphin they can assemble a heck of a team for him.
Everything starts with this regime being cleaned out. If Ireland is still around that means we'll be able to draft a really great lineman with the number one pick.
what is the bandwagon for? Sucking for Luck? Losing intentionally? It's immoral... now we should forfeit.... that would be okay because then you're technically not quitting ON the field. Exposing players to risky injuries while intentionally losing. Just forfeit.
I think our best hope for KC is for Haley to get fired and them to go an "fired up interim coach" tear. Seattle does have a great home field, but TJack is an equalizer of epic proportions.
You hear the sentiment around here a lot that we don't have enough patience with our quarterbacks and that we expect too much but name me one Dolphins starter in the last 12 years who went somewhere else and became a good NFL starter. John Beck had a shot this offseason but couldn't beat Rex Grossman for the Skins starting job.
