We're in the hunt. We crush Illinois and they need to move us up to 5th. Anything less would be an outrage
I hope PSU wins. I like them a lot and have for the longest time. Derrick Williams impresses me. Juice Williams is a terrible QB imo. All he can do is run. Some of the guys I hope I will be able to see tonight between all the games. Byrd LaFell Tyson Jackson Derek Pegues Derrick Williams Also, Adam I wanted to ask you about a few OLB prospects. Everette Brown and Kenny Ingram of FSU interest me. Ingram is 6'6 for a OLB and he spent time at Safety before he moved outside. I watched the FSU game but I didn't see much of either. However, Ingram is a good blitzer. What are your thoughts on the two?
Damn good LB's out of Penn State I know that. I am impressed with Tyrell Sales though he has some character issues.
You know I watched Florida State against Wake Forest but the only LB I watched in that game from Fla St was Derek Nicholson. I wasnt impressed by him at all. CB Tony Carter looked alright but he's small and has bad shoulder problems that seem to be ongoing I havent actually seen Penn State this year so tonight is my first good luck (lol subconscious slip- look) at them. Its a young LB crew with talent but may be prone to mistakes. We'll see
Not as good as Dan Connor and Paul Posluszny but pretty talented. I wonder if he'd be worth a middle round pick if he plays well. I've seen a few plays outta him and I've been impressed.
Ooo ok. Yeah, Nicholson wasn't too impressive. He already had a late round projection due to character troubles and his slow speed so that didn't help his stock. I don't know what to make of Carter. He's a midget that can make plays at times but can be thrown down easily by bigger WR's imo. I like Patrick Robinson at the other CB spot but he just came back off an injury and then got injured again this game on the 39 yard kickoff return. I liked their defensive linemen though. The ends, I don't know their names yet, are very quick. Dakota Watson didn't look too bad tonight. He had a stupid penalty early in the game but made some plays. Ingram had one sack tonight and I didn't even see Brown which is why I asked. But Brown seems like a good prospect for an OLB. He's 6'4, 252 and runs a 4.6. I've seen him in the second round. Also, did you watch Myron Rolle? God, he has trouble against quicker WR's. Two PI's and was beat once I believe.
they woulda scored from the 1 inch line, so it is really irrelevant, but it didn't look like he scored to me.
lol yeah. . did you see Paul Griffin. Didnt really get a chance to watch him yet. Agree on Carter. The one thing i like about him is he's feisty but the negatives are too much to get excited about. I'll definitely check out some Fla State soon so I can have a better converstaion about them soon. I think I taped their game today so after this one I'll probably check it out
They've looked good as of late. Gaines is a bit short for my liking though in terms of pro prospects.
That horse collar looked painful as hell for Clark. Lucky he wasn't seriously hurt. Great play to Williams for the TD.
Not familiar with Paul Griffin. Yeah, Carter seems to have a lot of confidence in himself which is good. He can create turnovers and make plays on ST's though.
Well yea, his best spot for us would be ILB, which would be a huge stretch for him Typically I project players to 4-3 when talking about their prospects.
Yea, I typically project players to 3-4 when talking about prospects since that's pretty much what we run.
Yup. The defenses didnt show up till the 2nd qtr. The wet field is making it difficult. Dont think they threw at Vonta Davis the erntire gm
It sucks that Royster won't get 1st or 2nd team Big ten in likelihood because he doesn't have to carry his team like Ringer and Wells.
I haven't watched this game until now but man Derrick Williams stat sheet looks good. Three total TDs (rushign, passing and KR). Just saw the KR.
This has to be Williams' best game since enrolling at PSU. He has been disappointing considering he was such a high recruit coming out of HS.
Quarless needs to play like this all the time. He has been blocking really well, and catches it when it gets to him.
Dissappointing only because of how high a recruit he was. He was great as a freshman until he broke his arm. Then the ball got spread out a lot, so it's not as if he ever did anything wrong.
I have been following him since he committed to PSU. Was watching ESPNEWS and they had him on live to make his announcement on where he would be attending and I have followed his career since then. I was disappointed when he went down his freshman year and like you said he didn't do a whole lot after that.
