the idea is intresting but the graphics should be alot better.

 

Could you elaborate?

 

I was lucky & got this game early. I like it so far but I'm starting to pay the price for getting it early. My version (PC) like others have the stuttering problem. While, its bearable it's still a pain at times when it crash but I can't complain.

I like the RPG side of the game. I like how my choices can change the outcome of the game. Mechanics seem ok, I use a silenced pistol for short range, scoped semi-auto rifle for long range & kung-fu for melee. One thing pisses me off is when I do a boom head shot with my silenced 9mm, the guy will do a back flip & alert all other mobs in the area. Making/finding $ is a joke & hard at times when pay bribes, info, dossier, etc to make your mission easier.

Here's an example of what I consider BS about $ in the game.

During the beginning of the game when you go look for the Weapons Dealer. If you end up letting him go & taking the transaction money. IRC, you end up getting like 10k. You rob a major weapons dealer & you only get 10K. WTF.

Hopefully, money is easier to make later in the game but I have yet to see it. I tend to spend most of my info or bribes to make my missions easier. Guess, I can't have a slice & the cake too or how ever you say it.

All in all, besides the stuttering issue, I'm going to buy the game when it comes out. I'm playing the PC version in Boot Camp on my late 2008 MBP. Oh yeah, graphics are decent. If I were to compare this to Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords, I still prefer TSL over AP.

 

Ive read that its a unfinshed product and just got pushed out the door. I hear its alot like Mass Effect 2 but not as polished fair?

 

I have read the story is top notch and the game play is horrid.

 

Story is very good. Obsidian can do stories like Bioware & I don't think the game play is horrid. While I do find robbing an arms dealer & only getting around 10k isn't realist but I can understand why.

To each their own.

 

Gotta love NPC AI especially not moving away from a grenade & getting themselves killed due to it. As I start to play the game more, I start to see why people say the things they say about the game play. I'm still addicted to the game though.

One thing that has me puzzled is I just finished a mission & found 90k but when I go to buy new weapons I only have like 5-10k more than what I started the mission with. It just doesn't make sense to me. Is it a game bug or it's due to my version.

I'm starting to wonder if I should get the game or not.

After playing the game further & being able to fix my stuttering issue, I'm going to get it on Tues.

 

Oddly enough this game was delayed a few times, so what the hell where they fixing?

 

Dunno. They dropped the ball on Kotor 2. I still enjoyed the game but the ending was seriously lacking.

 

It was supposed to come out september/october of '09.
Story is that a Sony rep played the game and it was waaay to hard so they decided to re-do 80% of the game. So if people complaining that it is glitchy and seems unfinished, it makes sense i guess.
