I like it very much. I know the super hero thing has been done to death, but this one has a different vibe. First of all, its gritty and at times pretty graphically brutal for TV (like showing a guy getting his face beat in to his death). Secondly, the powers are more "realistic". The strong guy gets strong because he can tap into his adrenal glands at will, for example, and there's a downside to all of their powers. If the strong guy stays tapped too long he could die. Overall, the show is done very well and highly recommend it.
cool. ill record the show and give it a shot. the part i saw had a kid intercepting phone calls to his brain. i liked the dialogue and the visuals. there is so much quantity of shows out there, its hard to prioritize. i only have so much time to watch this stuff i couldnt pinpoint where i saw the black guy from so i looked it up. he was Ice the bounty hunter in arrested development. seems like a really good actor. he was cracking me up
Yeah the kid can pick up on electric signals but his autistic. The Black guy (who's the strong guy) is my favorite character so far. The actor takes the typical role of the FBI guy and puts a little something different on it. Its already one of my favorite shows. If you have brighthouse you may still be able to catch the pilot on one of the on demand channels, free of charge. It really kind of sets everything up.
Its written by Zack Penn so if you like his stuff you would prob like this. Ive watched it from the beginning and really like it
still watching, still liking! season finale is monday its been signed on for season 2. thing about the show is that i really like the characters http://screenrant.com/alphas-season-2-syfy-mcrid-131016/
Unlike a lot of shows this one literally gets better and better every week. It has really skyrocketed up my list of favorites. Glad you tried it.
yeah that was really good. i was really curious to see how they were going to set up season 2. its setting up very nicely gary just cracks me up. the line where he defends anna's response to wanting to kill dr. rosen: "she said that was regrettable" was hilarious. i could honestly take or leave the mind control girl or hicks. i dont think they brought that much to the table
There is epicness coming and this show may take its time to get there, but dammit that was awesome. I see the team becoming more focused with a more defined purpose coming next season. I hope Dr. Rosen becomes "harder/tougher". He's been too frazzled for his position on the team, and when you have a quality established nuance actor like Stratharian, you have to give him a metamorphosis. Gary is easily one of the best characters on tv. MCG & Hicks are the obligatory attractive people that every show must have but unlike most shows they're it, which feels like a conscious decision and one I like. It was nice to see Bill kick Hicks *** one week and then last week a chick kicked his *** too. But yeah they are merely eye candy and plot movers. Maybe we'll see a new team member or two next season too. The team's handler hinted at that.
