The murder conviction was just overturned for both of them. She is immediately free to leave the country.
I'd read elsewhere that she was found guilty of 'defamation'. Not sure what that's about, but they've ordered her to be released and she's free to GTFO of Italy.

We have it pretty good here. -
The defamation was for pointing out the wrong person, which she did. She pointed out a bar owner who has an air tight alibi. Stupid thing to do, but I'm sure as a 20 year old under media and police scrutiny she panicked. She will get time served for that though, so she will be back at her home probably tomorrow.
Glad she is free though, there is no evidence. The prosecutor Giuliano Mignini is a shady, controversial man who didn't want to admit he made a mistake. -

Like many other justice systems based on Roman law you are assumed guilty until proven innocent .You can be detained a considerable amount of time without evidence as Amanda found out .
Her biggest mistake was being arrogant, disrespectful and sarcastic .She laughed at the ridiculous charges and that was interpreted as being guilty.
I expect she will modify her behaviour now .Italian law is still based on medieval practices and needs to be modified IMO.texasPHINSfan, Frumundah Finnatic and maynard like this. -

Given the title, I was expecting a Ladies Lounge post... where she releases the hounds.
