Brown (hamstring) is not listed on the Dolphins' practice participation/injury report Friday.
Brown reportedly dealt with a hamstring issue in Week 3's game against the Jets, but the fact that he does not even appear on the Dolphins' injury report is a good sign that he's either past the issue, or else it is very minor one.

Figures. I tell you to back up your post and you respond by this. -
All of the 25 RBs are better than Ronnie Brown. -
-
If you believe that honestly then you should probably take up ice dancing. Besides durability ronnie is at least top 15, top 10. Anything lower is nonsense and you trying to over exaggerate.
-
Well going off Rushing yards alone, while splitting carries with Ricky Williams, Ronnie is STILL sitting pretty at #18 in the league right now. Ahead of some pretty good players like Frank Gore and Deangelo Williams.
Your boy Ladainian only has 9 mores yard than ronnie right now with the same amount of carries. Your boy shonne greene has 7 less carries than Ronnie and 100 less yards as well (currently ranked #30 in the league, and also currently the biggest fantasy bust in the entire league)
So, you can name 25 running backs better than Ronnie? **** that. I'll give you 10 at the most, maybe. the rest you're just full of it.Puka-head likes this. -

That is the WORST ****ing list ever. That's absolutely pathetic. HORRIBLE. All the bolded guys are players I will NOT take over Greene.
Please, do me a favor and go study some players. That list was pure comical. -
-
continue to spew lack of knowledge. Ahmad Bradshaw is currently #6 in the league in rushing. I understand you don't respect the guy, (or know much about football, clearly) but the facts are the facts. Most the bolded guys you picked are currently having far better seasons that Greene.
Shonne Greene, outside of one playoff game, has shown nothing to merit all the hype. 100 yards in 3 games, 2 fumbles, no tds. Seriously dude. At least wait until he does something to claim his greatness.Puka-head likes this. -

Usually the person making the initial claim has to back up their post before they ask others for proof. Now, Shonn Greene was projected as a top 10 RB. He's now the backup to LT.

Shonn Greene has never stayed healthy so this shouldnt be hard. He was hurt 3 different times last season in a part time role. He makes Brown's medical chart look like a clean bill of health. Greene caught 11 passes between his last 2 years at Iowa and first year with the Jets because hes a non factor as a receiver. Dont waste time with this.

Those are just the easy ones. Have a nice day.
Its funny you say Ronnie Brown stinks yet he pretty much tore up your #1 ranked defense in game one last year and made Lap Band Rex eat his words. Let me remind you again...you said Brown stinks but your #1 defense couldnt stop it. They didnt stop him Monday night either. They wont stop Ronnie in the new Giants Stadium either. The only thing that stops Ronnie is not getting the ball enough or his injury history. The guy who stinks is Shonn Greene and his hefty 3.5 YPC average this year. Enjoy another late season flame out.Frumundah Finnatic, Tone_E, Larryfinfan and 4 others like this. -
The only thing comical is your sense of Jet Pride. Portis is over 1400 yards 5 of 7 years and the other two he was hurt. Get off your high horse and study some football yourself. How in the world are you going to tell someone else to study when you come up with garbage like that? RW was over 1100 as a BACKUP last year! How is he NOT better then Shonn Greene? What has Shonn Greene ever done besides the easy lifting after Thomas Jones cleared the way? Nothing.
Not so nice when people bash your opinion is it? -
Again, I can name you 25 RBs I rather have than Ronnie Brown.
Yea and I can think of 25 people I'd rather hear from. You are a rash that won't go away. -

If you think Cedric Benson isn't better than Shonn Greene then your version of football involves a black and white sphere, nets, and vuvuzelas.Frumundah Finnatic, Tone_E, Clipse and 5 others like this. -
You know whats the sad part. That "List" is actually some 2nd stringers, and most fans think they are more useful then your Starter.
Shonne Green did nothing against the ravens, Peyton Hillis ate them up.
Cedric Benson was in the top 10 in Yardage last year, and is up there this year.
Brown, Matthews, Moreno, McFadden all have a higher ceiling and 3 of them have outperformed Greene. McFadden for sure is coming into his own.
Ahmed Bradshaw is a better back then both of yours on numbers/opportunity alone, and Brandon Jacobs should be on the list of 38 I sent but he's played sparingly.
Legarret Blount is going to be a good back, but he was a projected 1st round pick before the punch heard round sportcenter.
And Thomas Jones just last year led the league in rushing on YOUR TEAM. I say he's not done yet.
Ricky Williams also is more of a Man (yes, a fairly fairy type of man, but still one nonetheless) then Shonne Greene because atleast ricky will keep on trucking.
In two years, I have a feeling Ricky will still be playing in the league as a part time backup and shonne greene will be in the CFL.
I forgot two guys on my list though, regrettably. Michael Vick an Aaron Rodgers.Frumundah Finnatic and Tone_E like this. -
Very good list and I completely agree. I would much rather have Ronnie than Greene,Ronnie is an instrumental part of our offense and is a former Pro Bowler. The only thing that stands in his way is injuries.Boik14 likes this.

Issues....
#1. Doesn't have break away speed. Just look at the Minn game when he has a 99 yard TD in hand if he can turn on the Jets. Only 1 problem...he doesn't have Jets. Hence it was a 51 yard run and that was it.
#2. Doesn't hit the hole hard. It takes him a while to see it develop and he dances quite a bit on his toes. Now the positive...he is shifty and can make people miss if they are going for his legs. Downside...these are usually for minimal games and are a breakout run few and far between.
#3. Doesn't hit the hole hard out of the Wildcat. His read progression as gotten worse over time in this.DaFish likes this. -
When healthy I would actually list Ronnie as an elite back. He just can't stay freaking healthy. I love the guy but it's time to start looking at backs in the draft.
Edit: CANEPHINS: The lack of breakaway speed does make an argument to whether he is an elite back or not. -
Most of you guys FAIL to realize that Greene is a powerful back. He is NOT about the yardage. He wears and tears opposing defenses apart and that's something he does to help this team. Ronnie Brown won't even be on the Dolphins if it wasn't for the wild-cat. Greene is a slow starter and he's a finisher.
He's only learning from one of the greatest. He's only going to get better. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are only going to get worse at this point. They're not going to get any better than they are at this point. You stare at Ronnie Brown long enough and he WILL get hurt. -
Wow,you want to talk about fail. Haha your credibility ended with that statement right there. Ronnie is a playmaker and at this point better than Greene period.Tone_E and azfinfanmang like this.

The talent it took me to not say what I wanted to is more than we have seen from Shonn Greene. Now, Emmitt Smith is the NFL's leading rusher, Brandon Jacobs has had a 1k yard season and both Marshawn Lynch and Marion Barber have made Probowls. All of those guys run how you say Greene runs but all of them get the "yardage". If a back comes into the NFL and tells his coach that he "is not about the yardage", he's going to get cut. Ronnie Brown in 2007 was leading the NFL in yards from scrimmage before he went down due to an INT tackle. Ronnie Brown had a 1k yard season before that. Ronnie Brown has proven he can run with the big boys.
"He's only going to get better". He was predicted as a top 10 RB this year. He's now ranked I believe 25th. Lost his job to a 30 year old RB. If Ronnie Brown stays healthy and his talent level flatlines, he's still an elite back. When he declines he'll have to go but if he's still Ronnie, he's top 10 easy. Ricky Williams is in his 30's, of course he isn't as good as he used to be. Thing is, Ricky in his prime probably had more talent or equal talent with LT. If Ricky hadn;t missed those years, he'd be virtually even with LT stat-wise. -
People realize Greene is a wanna be power back. Brown and Williams are pretty similar and more effective. But in the end yardage is a hge factor in the equation. Fact is your boy cant handle a starters role.
That you think Brown wouldnt be on Miami's roster shows your own bias. Not to mention its kinda silly to come to a Dolphins board and insult players you clearly know little about. It just looks bad.
You trash Brown for his medical history but your boy was hurt 3 separate times last year as a backup. Greene was also hurt his final two years at Iowa. You lost your right to call anyone else injury prone when you came here hyping Shonn Greene who hasnt done anything in this league and is as injury prone as Brown or anyone else.Frumundah Finnatic, siciliansith and BlameItOnTheHenne like this. -
