If Henne would have started the season and struggled, everyone would be comparing him to Ryan and Flacco, and the pressure and criticism would build and potentially ruin Henne like Beck was ruined last season... Of course, he might have eventually recovered from that, but fans are impatient and brutal as evidenced by many rookie QB failures throughout the years on various teams. I am glad Henne was afforded the luxury of sitting and learning from Pennington without having to be measured against the other rookie QBs having success this season.
