Rex Ryan in yesterday's NY Post: First of all, you have the best record because you played one more game than Baltimore, who are 4-1 and beat you. Second, even if you ARE the best team in the league....STFU ABOUT IT! Have some class. You didn't hear Belichick saying the Pats were the best team in the league when they were 16-0 did you? You never heard Shula say that...or Ditka...or any other coach except one....your effin father. Don't get me wrong, this isn't badmouthing the team. It's showing WHY the rest of the NFL can't stand them. He just doesn't know when to keep his big fat slobbering mouth shut. Doesn't know how to lose gracefully, doesn't know how to win gracefully either. The apple fell off that tree and stuck right into the mud at the base.
Sounds like he was asked a question. I would like to hear how it was asked and answered. I think he's a blow-hard, but so far his team has responded to it. I think if they get two losses in a row, the me players will come out and they will implode. I initially thought it would happen in week 6. Hopefully it happens soon.
Yep. No reason not to despise this asshat, nd every slimey asshat included with his team! Nothing but stinky smelly **** comes out of his comically oversized piehole at all times.
This is nothing new. This is his coaching style and he does it to exude confidence in his team. I honestly thinks he gets off on riling people up. Either that or he just doesn't give a ****. Here is the entire quote: I wish they gave us the actual question he was responding to. If they flat out asked him if he thought they were the best team in football, I guess he could have gone the humble route. "Well, we're 5-1 and that is the best record at this point. But we have played one more game than the other one loss teams. And when you think about it, we got lucky to beat Denver, Minnesota and Miami, plus Moss quit in the second half of their game, so we really could be 1-5. So records aren't everything. We're not that good. I just thank the good Lord that luck has shined down upon us and I hope it keeps up." Probably not going to happen He is who he is and this is his coaching style. I would hate the guy if he coached any other team. It's the same way I feel about BB.
And as an aside to "This is why people dislike the Jets", here is why NY fans in general are considered animals (I know Pagan is a Yankees fan ) Here you have a big moment in a pivitol playoff game, and this guy is flipping off the outfielder for claiming interference! I can just hear him, "Hey! I gots yo inta-ference right here, buddy! Suck on this! Hahahahahahah. Hey Tony - I bet'cha I'm on da TV!"
Can't you see how they've won? Can't you see how low we've now sunk? A Dolphan is now begging a Jet fan to piss in his Cheerios... ...give it a minute to sink in.
Can I wait until I get my annual winter cold, so the antibiotics can give me that real robust yellow pee? It will be worth the wait!
I will go on record a saying I dislike Ryan for being the Jets coach. But I loved him when he was the Ravens D co. So....
Unfortunately for us, he is right. They are the best team in the NFL right now. Question is will they be the best team in the NFL at the end of the season... If they are not being the best team in the NFL after week 6 is going to mean very little.
Rex Ryan, the Jets, as well as Jets fans really don't care what you or anyone else thinks. Quite honestly, it's very refreshing in the normally "Business as Usual" NFL. And, just another question. Who has a better record than the Jets right now?
Dude...they lost to the Ravens, should have lost to the Broncos, if Dolphin defenders could hold on to the ball would have lost to the Phins, and with any other QB but Brett Favre would have lost to the Vikings. They're a good team. No way are they the best. Bick, not blasting the Jets, so don't take it personally!
Nah, you still played the BILLS...so 1-5 "Business as Usual" NFL. (Math is not your strong suit, huh!) If you honestly didnt think in each game vs. NE, MIA, MIN, and DEN that you were going to lose at a given moment, you werent paying attention, or being honest.
Apparently some Jet fans do, else you wouldn't be on a Dolphins message board, and only a Jet fan would think an overweight blowhard with an attitude is "refreshing". I guess after smelling the fumes from Jersey while at Jets home games, anything is "refreshing".
Dude...the Dolphins lost to their two division rivals at home, should have lost to the Bills, if the Packers were healthy they would have lost to them, and with any other QB but Brett Favre they would have lost to the Vikings.
Right on que. What? You saw the thread title and had to erase all doubt? Surprised Darrelle dimwit hasn't posted in here yet.......just a matter of time I imagine.
There has to be at least a little believability, Just a little. We thoroughly dominated our opponents in our wins. We left tons of points ont eh field in those games. These hypotheticals can go on forever.
Nor did they have an INCREDIBLY grotesquely ugly, yet EXTREMELY obese coach that predicted SUPERBOWL BOUND in Preseason. Karma is gonna reach right up and bite that Good-year blimp of an ***
Just my two cents. There are no great teams this year. Every team has holes. the difference between the top tier teams and the middle tier teams is small. Jets could be 1-5, 2-4, 3-3, or 4-2. The only no doubter was the Buffalo game. But you can say that about a lot of teams. Miami could have lost to both Minn and GB. It works both ways. So as I said before. He was asked a question (baited by the NY media who eats this **** up). Given that there are no runaway favorites, he answered with what he believes to be true. In his mind, he doesn't think that there is a team that is head and shoulders better than they are. So what the heck....he said he thought they were. This is Ryan, fellas. I don't understand why you let it piss you off so much. You each divisional team gets 2 cracks to shut up his big yapper. They are 0-3 so far. Everyone gets one more chance. Want him to shut up? Beat his team and knock him out of the playoffs. I don't think he will be making excuses when they get beat (like he did last year). He didn't make any for losing to the Ravens.
Shockingly, his wife is pretty decent looking. And he has lost *some* weight Do you really care what he looks like? Parcells is ugly as ****, but I'd love to have him coach my team again.
Karma is bull****. Karma is doing a bad thing and having a bad thing happen to you. How is saying you have a good team a bad thing? If he punched a kitten, that is bad karma... And the Phins fan obsession with a coaches weight is funny.
If my mom was a man she'd be my dad. In other words it ain't so and neither are your if's. At the end of the year there are 31 losers and if the Phins don't make it I hope the rest of the east is in the same canoe. There truly is something special in watching a Jets fan reminiscing over another year of coulda been shoulda beens.
