Yeah I read about this. They had a dad who dropped off like 7 kids or something under this law. Great planning by their state by the way. Texas has a law like this but I believe it is valid up to the age of 5 or something like that. Otherwise its child abandonment.

My god, those poor children are going to be scarred for life. Could you just imagine how it would feel to have your parent(s) drive you to the hospital and ditch you forever?

It's one thing when the kid is a baby, they'll never remember. But a 5 year old? Your parents are your whole world when you're that age, and to be cast away like that would cause serious, irreparable emotional damage. It's not much easier to swallow the fact that your parents don't love you when you're 14, either.

Those "people" (I use that term VERY loosely) who do that to their own children are despicable. This is just more further proof of the decline of our society...

    calphin deadly at 250 yards!!

Tysheema Brown drove from Georgia to leave her teenage son at an Omaha hospital.

"Do not judge me as a parent. I love my son and my son knows that," Brown said. "There is just no help. There hasn't been any help."

Don't judge her as a parent? She has had this child for at least 13 years, and now shes complaining about no help? If he's a teenager, hes old enough to throw a newspaper, or mow a lawn, surely there is some way for her to get help, without giving up her son! It doesn't matter how helpless I felt, I would not give up my children for anything!! I'd die for them, and she should be the same way, if she truly loves her son, which I find very hard to believe!!

people are sick, absoulutely unforgivable to leave a child at a hospital

edit: thought I should clarify, an older child. I would rather people leave their newborns at a hospital than abort them or throw them in a dumpster.
