I hate making important evaluations so early in camp, but believe me when I tell you that rookie cornerback Vontae Davis can really play. Even at practice, you can just see great athletic ability. Davis appears to have all the tools you need to be a first-rate corner.

• To see wide receiver Greg Camarillo out there on the first day of practice, going full speed, was so impressive. Camarillo is about nine months removed from major knee surgery. Many players are still limping around after nine months; Camarillo wasn't even wearing a brace. Says a lot about the player and his determination.
