He has 2 years on his contract @ 4 million per year. Laurie is not risking parting with 8 million. Hate to rain on everyones parade.
LOL!!.....Might as well just bring back Parcells, cuz "look at his track record after all", he won 2 super bowls a million years ago!
I don't like Phillys scripted plays on their 1st drive every game. You can't argue with Reids record though. Shame for him his LB's can't tackle and Young sucks.
You know, I've been giving this some thought. Under Andy Reid, the Eagles have been... 2011: 4-8 to date 2010: 10-6, NFC East Division Champions, lost to Green Bay in NFC Wild Card game 2009: 11-5, 2nd in NFC East, lost to Dallas in NFC Wild Card game 2008: 9-6-1, 2nd NFC East, lost NFC Championship game to Arizona 2007: 8-8, 4th NFC East, missed playoffs 2006: 10-6, NFC East Division Champions, lost NFC Division game to New Orleans 2005: 6-10, 4th NFC East, mised playoffs 2004: 13-3, NFC East Champions, lost Super Bowl to New England 2003: 12-4, NFC East Champions, lost NFC Championship game to Carolina 2002: 12-4, NFC East Champions, lost NFC Championship to Tampa Bay 2001: 11-5, NFC East Champions, lost NFC Championship to St Louis 2000: 11-5, 2nd in NFC East, lost NFC Division game to New York Giants 1999: 5-11, 4th in NFC East, missed playoffs. Now I know I said I was on the fence about Andy Reid earlier, but as I said, I've been giving this some thought. He hasn't been a one hit wonder. He's CONSISTENTLY produced year after year while in Philly, with only 2 losing seasons, 3 missed playoff appearances (this year likely to be 4), 5 conference championship appearances, 6 Division championships and a record of 122-81-1 (.598 to date). He, like other teams are having a bad year which I said before the beginning of the season, the lockout was going to make this a wild season. Compare Reid to our legendary coach in his first 13 seasons with the Dolphins, Shula was 130-53-2 (.702), 1 losing season, 3 Super Bowl apppearances (2 SB Championships) 4 conference championships, 7 Division Championships. Like Reid, Shula consistently produced winners and like Don Shula, the Philadelphia Eagles won't fire Andy Reid. If they did, they would be the equivalent to the 1969 Baltimore Colts when they let Shula get away and go to Miami.
When considering Reid you gotta remember he's had a pretty damn good GM over there. If no one takes him as a head coach I'd love to pair him up as an OC with Barkley...but as a HC....I'll pass.
You guys who dont want Andy Reid....I dont quite get what you are looking for. It obviously isnt stability and consistancy.
His run from 2000 to 2004 was pretty amazing. And the Eagles are allergic to winning super bowls, so I don't blame him for not winning one.
