He will miss some time while rehabbing the MCL "but" if the Shulers and Mastrud's do not cut the mustard, he would certainly be an option as a FB/HB/TE.

Cowboys released FB Deon Anderson with an injury settlement.

Arthroscopic knee surgery had knocked Anderson out until mid-October, and the Cowboys grew tired of keeping him on the roster. Undrafted rookie Chris Gronkowski will take over, though he's struggled in lead blocking so far.

Irish took him the 07 Draft, they know what he can do, and FB's have a hard time finding work in season, so chances are good there have been some feelers sent out to his agent about time tables for recovery etc.

More of a blocker FY, think Ronnie B behind Polite with Anderson motioning to the edge of the oline, Anderson seals the DE, Polite picks off the OLB, Ronnie B turns the corner and head upfield.

Cut Nalbone/called up Jaron Mastrud (TE KSU)
Cut Clifton Smith/signed Mickey Shuler Jr.

Son of fmr Jets Te of the same name who was a darn good player for the Jest.

"if" Mastrud or Shuler do not work out, call up Deon Anderson and offer him a deal for the rest of the season.

Keep in mind FY, when good NFL teams play, there are always injuries, just from Elite athletes colliding at full speed, guys get dinged.
