My sons best friends wife is very ill. their saying kidney failure, or, something with the liver. So please remember her in your prayers. I'll try to keep you filled in. My best friend here is his friends mom and she's gone up to Dallas, GA to be with Kev, her son. So remember her also. Thank you.
I'm very sorry to hear that Deb. Of course - we know how well the power of prayer works. We'll be praying for the family.
Her name is Kim Mitchell. I have no clue as to her mothers name. I only know her from her being married to my sons friend.... Thank you. You are so considerate of all of us.
Yea, it's been tough, but there's also been some TRUE miracles going on for some of us here. So that makes it all so much easier to handle.. You behave yourself and I've still got your back on your rep.
It only takes a breath to do. If you can find out, it would be helpful, but I'll go on what you have for now. I only need the first name.
I'm not even sure what hospital she's in up around Dallas, GA. My friend hasn't called me yet with any information from the hospital. If I'm not mistaken, she's estranged from her mother. If I can find out I'll let you know. Thank you so much.
Thanks alen, you're a doll. Kath's doing as good as can be expected. She's very lonely without Jim, but she said he was in so much pain at the end that it was almost a relief to know he isn't hurting. My sons friends wife got out of the hospital Thanksgiving morning, she'll be fine, if she takes care of herself. Your a good guy alen, your so good to me and Mary.
Let me suggest a little book you might send her. "Good Grief" by Granger Westberg is a 64 page, pocket sized book, written some years ago by a hospital chaplain and pastoral care professor. It is widely used by individuals and groups for grief issues. Available from most booksellers for less than $10.
Thank you. I'll see if I can. I'm hoping she'll feel like coming down here, maybe in the spring. She's going to see what she can do. You're so sweet. Always thinking of others. How are you feeling? Is the soreness gone?
The elbows still hurt and the advent of cold/changing weather has put a low grade constant ache into the left one but otherwise I'm fine. Here is a link to our denominatial publishing house Augsburg Fortress | Search The regular soft cover edition is the third one down and online can be order for $3.99. If you want they will ship it directly to Kathy. I use them a lot and they are both friendly and dependable. Blessing to you!
You're such a friend, thank you. The weather changes get me to. More so as I age. But it's better than the alternative.
