I asked about this guy in another thread but I think it fell by the wayside. Has anyone seen much of him? He's got great size and experience playing in Virginia 3-4 (we all know the connections there). I'm not exactly a "tape guy." Not much time for it with school at the moment. So if anyone has an opinion on the guy, I would love to hear it.

He's Channing Crowder part duex. Crowder is more physical than Appleby is to be honest. He has the size, but doesn't always play up to it. Doesn't take on blockers very well; would run around blocks rather than through them.
He could be a decent nickel backer for a 3-4 team because he is agile enough to get the job done. Overall he just doesn't wow you.Frayser likes this. -
This is one of the guys on my radar (not that it means much to be on my radar), a big ILB, started for a couple of years in a pro style defense, and he could still be on the board when our 4th round pick rolls around.

He should be on the board when we draft in the 6th round.
I don't think he'd get into the 4th round this year to be honest. -
He meets that 6'3 criteria, he's played in a ton of games, and the ILB corps in this draft is anemic. -
