So Andy Dalton's best play of the day so far is a zone-read run? Not good. Needs to step it up.

He's a very good Guard prospect IMO. Put him inside and let him practice it, teach him, he'll be good.

Dalton really needed to get more on that deep ball, Sherman horrible situational awareness biting on Hankerson's (rather pathetic) double move. Leonard was open. That should have been a TD. Dalton short-armed it. Hankerson meanwhile, keeps letting everything into his body, like Golden Tate a year ago.

Ponder looking good, no other QB has looked good yet. But, Kaepernick only had one throw, and he did a really good job on it, got victimized by Mike McNeil's bad hands.

One play, and I wouldn't say "damn good". Let him actually play the game before you start crowning him as a 1st round super bowl champion, lol. :)

he's a very smart football player, knows how to set up his opponent, and has the athleticism and quickness to close the deal...But, where the hell we gonna put him Pod?..we cant afford to go there

Not sure Colin Kaepernick wants to hang his hat on this showing so far.

I get excited sometimes..especially when it comes to a skillset that I have coveted for our team for a long time, but iam not crowning him yet....Ive got to feel that his release will not be the negative in the pros, which is a game of inches, seconds, and speed differential. 3 things that a slow delivery and hitch can affect.

The release concerns me, the timing in the pro offense concerns me. I don't think he's a QUICK player, and it's showing in this game with Von Miller getting hold of him and being a pain in his butt.

Von Miller is the best player in this game on either side. That kid is good!

I'm really worried about Colin's lack of quickness. The elongated release is really multiplied by his feet and the way he moves, it means a lot of what he does is pretty fairly telegraphed. That's one of the great things about Cam Newton, guy is super quick with what he does with the ball. Quick release. He hits you before you know what's up.

No way Miller lasts until #15, though I suspect he is more or less a speed rusher in the NFL.

Agreed but he needs a lot of work downhill IMO. I'm very familiar with what they did at Texas A&M because I've got Tim DeRuyter's powerpoints that he teaches his players with and they really used Von in various ways. However he needs to improve as a pass rusher IMO.

That was a QB Draw by the way, for the "run-first QB" impaired. That was not an instance of Colin Kaepernick running when he should have thrown.

That was a superb job by Kaepernick stepping up to avoid the rush and then letting loose a cannon shot.

Well, have not really seen a running back that holds that much interest for me in this game, and think Mayocks' "leading edge of the wave' is the same stuff we heard when Pat White was drafted.

I'm seeing change of pace running backs not 20 carry per game types.

Like Lee Smith out of Marshall.

I really like Ponder. I'm not sure I want the Dolphins to draft him, but he's a guy I'll be rooting for in the NFL (as long as he's not in the AFCE).

With Kaepernick, personally I have seen enough positives with him to be really intrigued. He obviously will be a work in progress, but he's definitely got some potential.

Like I said in my thread, if we go 1st round defense, and ingram and QB is off the board, Von would be the only guy I go there with....would you go Kerrigan?

Man, I was really hoping Locker would have a really good game so some team ahead of the Dolphins would fall in love with him.

Depends who is still on the board at that point, to me there are several players who are very similar, for example Kerrigan is not head and shoulders above JJ Watt, an Watt is not far ahead of Akeem Ayers

DScott is the only guy who looks like an actual Running Back so far.

Why is Jake Locker better than Nathan Enderle? Seriously. Basically the same player as passers, but Locker has 4.5 speed that probably won't translate at the next level as well as he'd like.

I'm not saying Enderle is good. I think Locker is just bad.

What do you guys think about these runningbacks? I don't know a whole lot about most of them other than Hunter (who I love) and Devine (who I'm not a huge fan of). They all seem to be playing solid in this game though.
