Both my dad and my grandpa went or are going bald. When the time comes I wana take action lol. I figured I'd ask if anyone here ever tried Rogaine or any of those other hair loss prevention or regrow formulas. Never too soon to plan ahead lol.
Figured I'd ask a message board full of dude's and odds are someone would have some info.

From what I've read, you get the baldness gene (most common form of it that is) from your mothers side. So you need to look to your mom's brother's and fathers. This article also talks about it Going Bald? Blame Mom, Your Maternal Grandfather May Provide A Clue To Your Hair's Future - CBS News.
My dad is bald and starting going bald in his mid twenties. Now he prolly got the gene from his mom. I'm not going bald, or showing signs, but my cousin on my dad's side started going bald like my dad in his twenties and the he most likely got the gene from his mom (my aunt). So take what you will from it, never used those products.slickj101 likes this. -
how old are you?
there's a chance by the time you go bald there could be revolutionizing products in the hair growing industry. :D -
You could be like me, I started going bald at 35 or so. Now, I just shave my head, and don't worry about it. Some people can wear a bald head...anything looks better that a bad combover though, or that bozo the clown look. If you happen to be one of those that go bald, don't lose sleep over it. Thats how God intended you to be, so be proud. Look at it this way, its just a solar panel for a sex machine

My smooth, shiny dome is coming up on its tenth anniversary.
At first I started shaving it because I was wearing my hair so short anyway, it was just the next logical step; plus, I was thinning up top and wanted to be proactive rather than reactive.
Now, when I go without shaving for a few days it's...alarming.like2god likes this. -
I've shaved my head since the 7th grade because it seemed better in the FL heat playing sports. I played a ton of basketball and baseball, hair was just messy and a nuisance to me at the time.
I started to actually go bald last year :pity:
My hair was spiteful. -
Thats like my friend who's mom told her jello helps strenghten your nails, so she ate the jello. -

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Propecia yet. It actually works. I started balding when I was 20. Hair started going fast. Started Propecia and the balding stopped. I also got some of the hair I lost back. It's not a miracle drug. If you're completely bald I don't think all that hair will come back. But if you start taking it at the first sight of hair loss you'll be fine. People who haven't seen me inawhile and who knew me while I was balding are always shocked to see how much hair I have.
There are reportedly some side affects, but I haven't noticed any. -
It is kinda pricey though. Depends on how much you value your hair. I've figured out you don't need to take it every day. I take it 4 times a week, and that makes it more affordable. It's about 60 - 70 $ for 30 pills.slickj101 likes this. -

I used to have a guy that worked with me and everyday he would make sick comments on young girls ages 14-17 or so. I told him to him to keep his mouth shut, which done no good. so, one day I went home looked at the megans law website and found his sick ***
what even makes it worse, it was his own kids he messed with
I have no sympathy for guys like him -
And yes it is just a pill.
