Was applauded for getting canned by the Broncos Hmmm https://www.milehighreport.com/2023/2/8/23591378/broncos-players-applauded-butch-barry-fired
I think anything coming out of Denver from last season you have to take with a grain of salt. Talk about total dysfunction from top to bottom.
Whether it's bad or not so bad, this had to be the right hire for a team where offensive line performance has been a problem for so long. This sounds like a bad hire to try and right the ship.
Oh my, I hadn't heard "the bad" part yet. Hopefully it's just talk like there was around Flores when he was fired.
I don't know. McDaniel knows Barry as well as anybody and if his experience with him was positive, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Barry and Hackett's styles may have clashed badly. For example, if Barry is familiar with outside zone rushing schemes and Hackett ran more of a traditional offense, the fundamentals of blocking may have clashed. Am I the only one who thinks that we might have fired Applebaum due to the availability of Barry? We might actually find this to be a sneakily good hire.
Are you suggesting that Coach McDaniel might know a bit more about this guy than the average Dolphin fan? PS. Lol @ people blaming the Broncos’ failures on the OL coach. They sucked because Javonte Williams only played 3 games, Russ was 100x worse than anyone could have predicted, and Hackett was one of the worst HC hires in recent memory.
In Denver the air is thin and the marijuana is legal. Maybe they were clapping because someone brought snacks.
