"Miami's Edge Rusher Cameron Wake has had a pass rushing grade of +23.1 in every season since entering the league in 2009." He still struggles to get the credit he is due on a national level, but man what a great acquisition from Canada. He isn't handsome with silky smooth skin....but is Cam Wake better than JT??
I couldn't compare him to jt cos I never saw enough but for me wake is as good as anyone else out there. I get that jj watt is super talented but I'm disappointed that Cameron doesn't get the same props. He's as good a pick up as anyone out there.

cool, and FWIW I appreciate Wake. But he's not even close to JT. This is not a knock but this past season imho was the first time wake made a "game changing" play. The walk-off safety.
Sacks in general are game changing plays if you ask me... But yes we don't see many interceptions returned for touchdowns from Cameron Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Not just sacks, but sacks on the money down, 3rd. When we needed drive ending plays they were few and far between. The qbs(many 2nd stringers) had plenty of time in the pocket. And wake wasn't always double teamed.
One difference is JT did it longer. And, JT was more versatile. But, as far as pure pass rushing in their primes - Wake's close but I'd still give a slight edge to JT.
Well we'll have to agree to disagree. Wake is D. Freeney w/o the spin move. He has no counters. He solely relies on his speed. As I said previously Wake is a feast or famine DE when it comes to sks. IMO, he should have concentrated on neutralizing his man first on his way to the qb instead of always trying to beat his man to a spot. Why do the other top DEs not have the problem of constantly being held?
It's hard to say who is better, but it's good to be in a position to argue about it. To me, Wake is about the closest thing to having a JT these days, and I think he's the best player on the team. Slight JT tangent: anybody remember the Raiders game (now many years ago) where JT sacked Gannon on the first 2 plays? He sent a personal message to the Raiders that they weren't going to win that day. I think Wake can strike that same kind of fear into a team.
I'd like for him to develop a spin move and step up to RDE, thats where the elite pass rushers traditionally rush from.
Wake is really good but JT was down right incredible. He changed the outcome of games by himself. Imo dion Jordan has a better chance of being like JT.
I pretty much agree, though Taylor had significantly better coaching and surrounding talent, IMO. I'm not trying to take anything away from JT, mind, because I do think you're right. I just think it's tough to rank people with all the variables.
I'd love to see him stay at LDE and see Jordan step up at RDE. That would be at least two holding penalties occurring on every play, and that would be multiple coaches losing sleep in preparation. This is all dependent on two things: Jordan getting better and, perhaps more important, the coaching staff actually putting him on the field.
