That will look different and cool as hell, screw that white out crap.. The eagles, Lazor, and the great chip Kelly were 1 & 3 after the first quarter of the season and 3 & 5 at the midway point.. The fan in me will keep hope alive that the game will slow down for our Qb, and that players like Pouncey, Tripp, Fede, will give our team some emotion to feed off. Tripp is ready, hungry, playmaker, instincts, let him get some. Jenkins with his play in the bills game ( he and Davis had very good games) should not see the bench anymore. Apparently mike Pouncey is the guy everyone looks to in the huddle, said he had full participation Tuesday.. Once he and Moreno are back there we might actually have some juice..I can see that happening. Look forward to watching our young free agent backs get some reps, just to really see if we have something there in the form of a good backup. Maybe some folks could post some stats about the eagles offense last year in the first quarter of the season.
Brent grimes says that the dolphins were very un characteristic in buffalo, nothing they did, everything about mistakes, uncharacteristic mistakes..says a tight end could of made some of the bigger throws.
Grimes said that the crowd in the first game was awesome and that they hope to have the same intensity.." They really helped us"
I'm starting to get psyched up! Time to shake off last game and look for a rebound at home against a vulnerable Chiefs team. It'll be cool to look out over the stadium at a sea of aqua shirts. Go Fins!
I have more faith in our team blowing out the Chiefs on Sunday..then I do fans in Miami creating an amazing environment to play in. Still shows 3900 tickets available on Stub Hub
agreed. we win this one. Dline has a huge game vs that much-different Oline of KC. I see Tannehill having a bounce back game vs that secondary/LBs as well.
I hope...I really cant remember the last time the Phins played two teams in a row where they were looked at as back ok track es...we need a few to get some tempo going
We actually have a handful of games coming up where the defenses kinda suck..KC,Oak,GB,Jack would really be nice to build some offensive momentum in those games
Agree. Tannehill needs to have a couple good games and wins going into the bye on a high note. If we can get into the bye at 3-1 with the offense gaining some momentum and getting pouncey, Jordan, Jones, and hopefully Misi back by the time were coming out to play GB this could be a totally different team.
Yeah..Screw that actual Miami tradition that symbolizes championships and dynasty.... SMH. We should have been doing white outs for the Fins since...forever. All Aqua is going to look like crap.
I think it is silly to play in Miami and wear dark jerseys instead of white jerseys. I also just think the all-whites look better.
We should play some petey Pablo, " North Carolina, come on and raise up, take your shirt off, spin it round your head like a helicopter" Except were not North Carolina, good old song though..nice loop there.
You don't do white outs in sun life, it looks ridiculous..that's an orange bowl tradition, lets leave it at that Sec.. At least the aqua shirts will mask the 10 thousand empty seats.
I dont give a **** what color jersey they wear. I want them to completely stomp the **** out the Chiefs. I want the highlight reel to be blowing up with Dolphin plays. I want every sports announcer to be thrown on their *** and WOW'ed when they do the recap of the Miami /KC game. I live in Oklahoma and have to deal with Cowgirl and Chief fans... Come on Phins!!! I'm not getting any younger! I need this!
Well Anthony Fasano already made his annual highlight reel catch last week, so he won't be affecting the game on Sunday...
i've been wanting this to happen for a very long time. we need to look like an intimidating giant ocean. we also need to bring back the horrible hankees. i always remember that someone told me the dolphins fans use to do that back in the 60s i believe before anyone did the terrible towels like they do in pittsburg.
Grimes said a Tight End could've made the throws Tannehill missed? Or am I misreading what you're saying?
I'm trying to figure out if the aqua out is going to include us wearing aqua jerseys. It would break away from tradition of always wearing white for afternoon home games, but it being a late afternoon game might give us an opportunity to do it. It also reminds me of the article from the offseason where Paul Lukas (uniform guy) heard we were going to be wearing aqua more this season.
Oh. Man thats depressing. It had been reported various places that we'd be in our real jerseys, not the "away at home" that the team usually insists on. Its a 4pm game. The hot sun will have a very small impact. There's no logic to the white whatsoever. Other warm weather teams wear dark at home most of the year and Miami should too.
I like the white at home for day games. It's tradition and it probably does offer an advantage, especially in September.
So have they actually sold 65,000 tickets? They have 65,000 shirts to give. I mean the Chiefs aren't the draw a division rival is. I know sales were up though, so there shouldn't be too many orange seats except for the upper decks. Nice idea though, I remember they did it with Orange a few years ago, but Aqua might look better since its different from the seats. They could probably just wear aqua, I mean most of the game will be in the evening anyway since it starts at 430. I guess its white though, still a nice idea.
Doesn't work in sunlife, to late of a crowd, not engaged enough, to scattered after first half, looks weak and embarrassing.. Once the renovations come in then yeah lets do some fun stuff and start some new traditions with our crowd..we just gotta hope that they plan on moving a bit of concrete in the corners of each end zone.
I'm in the extreme minority that 4 o'clock home games are best for us, I think the crowd is in a much better mood..and to me it makes a difference..
Sunday is shaping up to be a big day at the stadium as team will be staging an “Aqua-Out” with the first 65,000 fans receiving a free aqua shirt, also former Dolphin greats Sam Madison, Jeff Cross, Tony Nathan and Ed Newman will be inducted into the team’s Walk of Fame prior to the game.
Hell yes, i like the attitude. I dream of sportcenter anchors going ape**** over an air assault the likes of which has not been seen since 1984. Wouldn't that be a nice sunday evening.... Of course, if it does happen, then next week is likely to be a shutout....
Something is weird cause the opener against our div rivals with lots of their fans in the building was relatively scattered upper deck, not a good sign for your opener against your big draw.
He said on twitter the end zones will be aqua ('Canes must be away this week?). They usually do that in December anyway. Final number was a bit over 70,000, which is good. 75,000 it holds so there were probably some pockets up top, I didn't really notice much.
