He even sounds like a total douche nozzle.
I particularly enjoyed the female host butchering his last name at the end of the segment.PhinsRDbest, Claymore95, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -
This pick kind of shows why I am not super excited about the 12th spot this year.

Its funny to me, how every gasbag columnist talks about the importance of BPA leading up to the draft and then they turn around and mock draft need....and even blast the team for going BPA over need after the draft.

Hard to know who to believe about what players go where.
For example, with NFL Draft Scout as your guide, you could easily have the following draft:
012. TE Tyler Eifert, Notre Dame
042. CB D.J. Hayden, Houston
054. FS Shamarko Thomas, Syracuse
077. WR Marquise Goodwin, Texas
082. OT Xavier Nixon, Florida
111. OG Hugh Thornton, Illinois
146. DE Devin Taylor, South Carolina
166. FB Lonnie Pryor, Florida State
217. LB Vince Williams, Florida State
224. WR Mark Harrison, Rutgers
250. RB Dennis Johnson, Arkansas
UDFA: QB Peter Lalich, California (PA)
UDFA: TE Phil Lutzenkirchen, Auburn
UDFA: WR Sam McGuffie, Rice
UDFA: DE Earl Okine, Florida
UDFA: DT Chris Jones, Bowling Green
UDFA: LB Jake Knott, Iowa State
UDFA: CB Corey Broomfield, Mississippi State
UDFA: DB Alonzo Tweedy, Virginia Tech
UDFA: SS Kemal Ishmail, Central FloridaAlex13 likes this. -

Seriously? Somebody let Arm-and-oh represent the Dolphins......and then he goes and picks my guy???
Matt, I personally blame YOU!!!!! Gonna change your name to Jynx. -
Tyler Eifert could be starting immediately. So could D.J. Hayden and Hugh Thornton.
Shamarko Thomas would be starting by 2014.
My scenario essentially builds in the Dolphins relenting on Eric Winston and signing him to a 1 year deal for between $3 and $4 million, just as he said on radio recently. Xavier Nixon is a guy you can coach up and it wouldn't surprise me if he's starting by 2014, maybe even at left tackle.
Devin Taylor would start off as a situational pass rusher which fits what I believe his NFL career arc will look like. I consider him a guy that will develop like Paul Soliai. He'll be good in short spurts at first, then he'll be able to sustain longer periods of good performance, and eventually he'll be able to start.
Vince Williams could be the surprise of camp, becoming the team's starting Mike linebacker while Ellerbe and Wheeler man the outsides and stay on the field in nickel.
Lonnie Pryor would immediately supplant Jorvorskie Lane at fullback and it wouldn't shock me if he became our most successful ball carrier a la Alfred Morris, who some were looking at as a fullback in that draft.
Dennis Johnson would play immediately as the team's 3rd down back, which I'm not sure Lamar Miller can play.
Marquise Goodwin would spell Davone Bess' eventual doom but there would be no need to move Bess immediately. You could work on Goodwin's and Harrison's receiving skills without the pressure to get them on the field as much. You could focus on using them when they're advantaged by the matchup. However I will say this, if you put out some feelers on interest for Bess and you end up with a good offer, having Marquise Goodwin, Mark Harrison, Rishard Matthews and Sam McGuffie on the team gives you every bit of freedom to pull the trigger on that move. You just don't HAVE to do it...which could give you greater leverage to ask for a better price.
I think Peter Lalich would potentially take Pat Devlin's spot immediately. Wouldn't be surprised if Phil Lutzenkirchen made the team but he would be mostly insurance in case there's an injury in camp, or in case Michael Egnew just doesn't 'get it'. Sam McGuffie I would think absolutely WOULD make the team...and so would Chris Jones, who even as a rookie UDFA could find his way into the rotation a la Derrick Shelby, especially in nickel. Jake Knott should make the team because our backup linebackers are weak. Guys like Broomfield, Tweedy and Ishmail are not necessarily high conviction players but they could compete and be injury insurance. -

That being said, if it was his only pick, and the rest was as you said, there wouldn't be a cliff high enough......... -
-
He said we don't have a starting CB... we have Grimes. Is this video a few weeks old?
I think Armando would pick someone different now. Tyrann Mathieu @ 12. -
-
1.) Dee Milliner
2.) Xavier Rhodes
3.) Desmond Trufant
4.) Johnthan Banks
5.) Jamar Taylor -
The only thing Majic about Tyrann Mathieu are the brownies he eats.

So they don't want to limit their options, and at the same time they don't want any team to see that they're limiting their options. Maybe they want other teams to still think they might trade up for Joeckel/Fisher/Johnson, or that they might take Fluker, or trade up for Armstead, etc. Sign Winston and that's all out the window, everyone will know those aren't really options. -
-
I see your a big Shamarko fan CK. What about Rambo? Is he purely not mentioned because of the off field stuff or something else? Guy seems to be a ball hawk.
-
The reason why I call his feet Majic is because I've seen his feet get thru a lot of traffic scenarios tracking the ball that looked to be impossible, I've seen him jump cut 3 to 4 times in very confined spaces and stick the ball carrier, there isn't anyone in this draft with that kind of special talent..It's why he's such an effective blitzer and player behind the Los, it's why he needs to play safety at the next level. -

I don't even have to check the link, bet it was a CB.

No Star Lotuletei in the top 12 picks?
