Armando/Garfinkel: Ticket Sales Up

invidsubscriberOPORLANDO -- Dolphins season ticket sales have made a dramatic jump this offseason over last year with renewals up 12 percent from a year ago at this time and new season ticket sales up approximately as much -- about 12 percent -- from a season ago, according to the team.
This is a good sign for the team that last year did not get the big ticket sales bump it hoped for after an aggressive free agency period and draft that included a trade-up to the No. 3 overall pick. This year, in the wake of season in which the team failed to make the playoffs for the 11th time in a dozen years, fans are reacting quite favorably to the team's pitch to buy tickets."We're pacing 12 percent above this time last year," Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel said Monday. "We actually started renewals three months later than we did last year because of our new membership program and how we're doing it. So we started three months later and in spite of that we're 12 percent higher than we were at this time last year."

Sethdaddy8forum_veteranI'm not sure why either. I have four front row sideline season tickets and a blue parking pass. This was the closest I ever came to not renewing. I could not, and can not shake those last 2 games of the season. How, why, we were so putrid. It scares me and shakes my confidence in Philbin. It was almost as if we tanked it on purpose. Blown out against the Bills and Jets, when all we needed was one win to make the post season??? Very very unconfident in this staff right now.
But I have 13 years as a season ticket holder. And its hard to give that up. 2 things led me to renew. One was, how good my seats are, and that times always, inevitably change. Two, and this was big, the stadium rebuild. Moving closer to the field, having front row seats, I think this will be pretty awesome in the future. If Ross' renovation plan, and all of this ends up to be bull****...I will have had it.

I came to the Chargers & Panthers games from the UK and after seeing so many people talking about how much they disliked Ireland and also the plane flying around with a get rid of Ireland message on the back, I could actually believe that.

Agreed. Let's burn him at the stake. We won't even need gas with all that hair & grease he's already covered in on account of being an Italian from Jersey.
