The Dolphins may be getting left tackle Terron Armstead back for their Week Nine game against the Chiefs.
Armstead has been on injured reserve for the last four weeks, so he is eligible to return to action this week. Head coach Mike McDaniel said at his Monday press conference that Armstead will travel with the team to Germany and be evaluated throughout the week before the team decides whether or not to activate him for Sunday’s game.
Kendall Lamm has been starting in Armstead’s place in recent weeks. The Dolphins were also playing backups at left guard and center to start their Week Eight game against the Patriots and right guard Robert Hunt left with a hamstring injury during the win.
McDaniel said on Monday that Hunt is day-to-day, so Armstead won’t be the only injured lineman to monitor this week.

I said at the beginning of the season we should sit Armstead until the playoffs. I changed my mind. He should sit until we play Buffalo.

I think the holding guys like Williams and X out was with this game in mind. They have tried to get as healthy as possible for this game.dolphin25 and Tuanon4Life like this. -

I would activate him if there's a chance he can play healthy. The reason is because KC is always a threat on offense and our run game will be critically important (as it was with Philly) to limit the touches Mahommes gets. Last week, he had the flu and was nowhere near 100%. I'm guessing he will come out firing this week and looking to make a statement. The best way to beat Mahommes is to keep him off the field.
The path to victory is pretty obvious- points on the board early, force them to play from behind, pound them in the run game to open those passing lanes for easy 1st downs and scores. The only problem is, KC has the exact same strategy. So it's going to be a battle of wills in the first quarter that will set the tone for this game. -
I have a great feeling about this game and I think Miami wins it, but I'm also nervous because the long travel really makes it anyone's game. It could be Miami vs the Giants or the Panthers and I'd still have the same underlying concerns.Berezo likes this. -
His conditioning looks poor for a top flight left tackle, he gets paid like a top 5 left tackle. He cant just roll off the couch and go play high level football. He needs to get his conditioning and strength on point. Its his job to be in the best condition possible..dolphin25 and Tuanon4Life like this.
