I really like how the new regime has focused on the Lines. Its the most important facet of teams. If our lines play well, we are going to be good. Once they can dominate, we'll be one of the best teams in the NFL. I like the fact that our OLine is young. Obviously, we need some depth because we are one injury away from being mediocre again. But if this line can stay healthy and develop a chemistry, if Murphy (or a waiver wire pickup) can be a reliable backup, our turn around is going to be sudden and sustained. And our running game will be better. That will make our passing game better. I think it'll take most of this year, but by next year, this team should be outstanding.
I still remember wanting Smiley in the draft...and thanks for the read.... We all suspected that once Jake got in the lineup, the complexion of the OL and team would change for the better, but with the addition of Smiley and now Thomas...we are seeing some special things develop...without getting too giddy about the team's chances, each week that this group plays we'll be more and more pleased...
And the congregation said: AMEN!!! It's been more than about time that the line got the attention that was shown to it this year! Now, if we can pick up some depth, and pay attention to the DB's this coming draft, by 2010 we should be a seriously worrisome team to any opponent. It's about time that our opponents should be worried about what the Dolphins are going to do and not so much what they are going to do to the Dolphins.
I want to start an over/under pool on how many LB's and DB' get carried off the field this year after being steamrolled by Satele and Long this year, but we might as well add them all up. I am so happy to see this team getting meaner. Can't wait to hear Seymore, Harrison and the Patsies crying cuz we played too rough.
I was most impressed with the fact that he's married to a former Gold Rush Girl. I want to see the pics of her!!
Games are won or lost in the trenches, so glad we're finally paying attention to the trenches, on both sides of the line.
