thanks NASA! I'm glad you have a billion dollar budget and can crash things into the moon, but can't be bothered to find objects crashing towards our planet.

 

Their budget would have to increase 10 fold to be able to catch all those asteroids.

I do not think you realize how big space is and how small those asteroids are.

 

I would just as soon let them have no budget and use the money for something better. Or better yet, give the money to the Air Force and let them handle it.

 

they are already developing plans to handle asteroids as are other scientists. its not exactly an easy thing to test though, so yes it will take some time. not sure why you are outraged........

 

A sad fact, there are more people working in your local McDonalds than there are working to identify and catalog near earth asteroids.

 

Some of the solutions are really out there, I'd like to see a few test runs within the next 10 years to make sure that they work.

 

I just don't like NASA :confused2: We totally had that genie in a bottle and Maj. Nelson and Maj. Healey blew it big time.
