avg 8.0 question

calphinNew MemberOPAfter you run a scan, do you delete the viruses or do they just go to the vault by themselves? please explain to me how this system works, and what should I do after a scan.

typically a lot of antivirus programs will try to delete said virus, however sometimes the virus has already corrupted a file and cannot be deleted... in this case the antivirus software will "quarantine" the virus or maliciousware.... meaning it removes access to the rest of the files, but leaves the virus there, in essence disallowing it from affecting anything else.

I have AVG 8.0 as well. I don't do anything other than schedule the scans. I believe you don't have anything other than that. It has worked great for me. :up:

Nope, it tells you sometimes to delete, or chest (vault) stuff.
You need to watch what it says sometimes.
