Okay, first I have to set this up because some of you may not be familiar with the show. Gary Dell"Abate (nicknamed Baba Booey) is the producer of the Howard Stern radio show. He's been in this posiiton for many years. And Howard always makes fun of him for doing stupid things. Well, this passed weekend he had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the New York Mets baseball game. He is a HUGE Mets fan... this would be similar to us getting to toss the coin at a Dolphins game. Anyway, with his friends and family looking on, here's what happened: [nomedia]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pU2wXn0Sw6Q[/nomedia] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvh3JtfIIuo"]YouTube - Baba-booey first pitch 5-9-09[/ame]
LMAO... My six year old son (that just started playing baseball this year) can throw better than that!
I really do feel sorry for the man... well, I'm laughing my *** off too, but deep down inside, that could be any of us. He said he was nervous and his palms were sweaty and he couldn't get a grip on the ball. Now, he'll never live it down... EVER...
He did have the right distance.... just WAY outside, he almost took out the camera guys and the umpire had to duck...
fumbled snaps don't count as passes... unless he was driving his arm forward while dropping it at the snap?
That's pretty pathetic, but funny. Luckily for him most of the Stern listeners already think he's a loser.
I hate to even post this... this is the play I was talking about... not considered a pass in the NFL rules (because the ball went backwards), but this is what I was referring to. My first pitch would be even uglier than this.... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDIqcHBkyJs"]YouTube - John Beck fumble returned for TD[/ame]
This is the kind of man we are talking about here: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLi17w_9v4s&feature=related"]YouTube - Baba Booey at the Demolition Derby[/ame]
