Since stopping the run is their forte, which of course leads to the DL, Lewis and Ed Reed having a field day after the opposing team abandons trying to run. We have to find a way to open them up a little...a new wrinkle or two in the Wildcat, Jake and co. actually opening up a crack or two for RB and RW, short passing game....whatever will work to loosen that front 7 up...and most importantly, since they feed their emotions off of turnovers...NO turnovers...

We also need to run directly at Ray Lewis early and to check our tendencies against him...he's tremendous at film study and knowing the other teams tendencies...Run different plays from the same formations, again, a new wrinkle in the Wildcat, something to make them have to react rather than attack...

On D, we just need to play our game. The O can help tremendously if they can score some points early as well. Flacco is much better than the first time we saw them, but they ran all over us in that game, so Flacco wasn't called on to do much. The last 4-5 games, they have had things their own way allowing Flacco to mature more. If we can stop their run, which is our forte as well, it'll go a long way to relieving some of the pressure on our O...

    Good post.

This game could well come down to ONE bonehead mistake. A missed fumble recovery, a stupid PF that gives the other team 1st and goal, even a safety.
