http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-drive...Drive-of-the-Week-Ryan-Tannehill-comes-of-age Pretty good breakdown of the game winning drive.
liked seeing Cogs and Pouncey hustle their asses off on that last Gibson catch near the goalline. they were 20-25 feet back when he caught the ball.
man. way to go rishard mathews, charles clay, brandon gibson and Dion sims. Man that was beautiful. Tannehill with time is a beautiful thing. Clay, Egnew, and Sims all made a play in this game. that's exciting! Sims made that look so effortless and he knew exactly how big of a moment that was.
Also, gibson really fought for that endzone. I love that he went for it AND was smart enough to pull it back. He was very close. Gutsy and smart. exactly what you need from a slot man.
They didn't even have the throw to Miller that he dropped. I thought that was one of his best passes for the season so far.
Liked that Tanny changed the original play. I am still on the win high! Man how awesome next week would be if we can win monday!
Yes, definitely. The one and only play I even questioned Tannehill on at all was that 3rd and 1 where he threw the pretty well-covered slant to Rishard Matthews while Clay drifted out in the flat wide open. Tannehill put it on Matthews perfectly, so the drive continued, but it was a much riskier pass. Other than that, pretty flawless work by Tannehill, and really, he had good protection on that final drive.
Lamar Miller could be pretty good one day if he learns to catch that friggin ball. The read and throw were perfect, all he has to do is cradle the thing in. You could tell initially that Tim Ryan wanted to find a way to blame Tannehill for it but just couldn't.
What was the deal with Tim Ryan? Did Tannehill bang his mom or something? He was scathing on Ryan all day long.
Watch this Finsiders interview with him: http://www.miamidolphins.com/multimedia/videos/Inside_The_FalconsDolphins_Matchup/09ced1a2-080a-4e12-abc8-c426ae5a3120 ...he's like a condescending douche spigot opened full bore....from the way he sits there during the intro to the first words out of his mouth. Seriously, watch just the first 25 seconds.
he dropped that easy one in Indy as well, both probabaly go for tds, and both were easy catches...2tds, about 90 worth of drops..
RT wasn't playing well for most of the day IMO. He put the ball on the ground twice, he looked like a deer in the headlights on some of the blitzes, the pick to Clay was on him as well. The end result was a win so the fluff pieces will come fast and furious this week but the truth IMO is a mix of what people are saying now and what they would've been saying had we lost the game. .
I'm torn on who to blame on that pick. The pass was a little high, but that's exactly the kind of catch you expect a TE to make. My thought at the time was that Keller would have made that catch.
I feel like the blame is on Ryan. If you recall he threw off his back foot and I think that led to the throw being high. He had room in my opinion to lower the throw and get it over the linebacker. That said I don't mind picks like that. It's not like he was forcing it into double or triple coverage. Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
