I can understand them not wanting to play at Boise St.

This caught my eye though :wink2:

If I had the chance to go 13-0, I don't know that I would want to play at Boise State either. BSU's record is unbelievable on the smurf turf.

Would have been a nice matchup given both teams are undefeated. Either way Ball St will look weak at the end of this, and no one will care about them being undefeated outside of the people who go to the school.

They would look weak regardless. If they won, everyone would just say how undeserving Boise was for their rank to begin with because of their easy WAC schedule. They lose, they are called weak.

They are simply in a no win situation.

I dont know if that's true. If they lose people would understand because it's @ BSU, if they win people will talk about what an upset it was to win on the road.

Now if they lose, to whoever it is, people will call Ball St. a fraud and if they win it's like big deal, they took the easier bowl of course they won.

Not to mention, it's a lot easier for Ball State fans to travel to Detroit than it is to Boise. I am sure they don't want to leave a lot of their fans behind.

They were talking about it last night on ESPN during the Rutgers game, they said they didn't blame them for not wanting to play Boise on the blue turf. If it was a neutral site they would be all for it.

Guess they were exposed sooner than the bowl. Doesnt really matter as far as which bowl they're invited to, they werent going to a BCS game anyway so they'll probably end up in the same place.

Losing to Buffalo was a huge blow to them, they may end up playing Rutgers again in the Motor City bowl.

Although Rutgers is being mentioned in the Sun Bowl, but that is doubtful.

I think because Rutgers won they get the Sun Bowl and ND could get Motor City. But who knows lol.

They were exposed? I didn't see them get outplayed, I saw them make a lot of mental mistakes, which did them in. Not to mention a few questionable calls by the refs which really altered the game.

Really good teams dont make that many mental mistakes vs unranked teams, even if Buffalo is pretty good. You dont just have to be outplayed to be exposed, beating yourself says something about them as well. It says they didnt deserve a BCS bowl for one.

    Back in Miami
    irrelevant issue now.

Clearly a pretender team that had no business in the top 25

    Didn't know that.

Had they won the MAC, I might have agreed with them.
