Is it possible for the switch to click just because of a changed environment?...do we have a reclamation project at our fingertips, or is he front'in to be one?

Tell you what, the personalities of randy Starks, Paul Solai, Cam wake, and Jared Odrick are much different then those of the giants....I'm hopin Bane is the real.

Fun to dream of getting an extra first round draft pick.

It looks like what dogs have to wear when they don't play well with others.

I may be a little late to the part but what happened to Kheeston Randall? Is he still on the roster? I thought he was another DT on the upswing as well. Marvin Austin has come out of nowhere it seems but I liked what I saw from him Monday night. He made a nice play in that game and it seems like he's hungry in football terms.

The mast is new to me. I can see the benefits from it, but not sure I understand using it right before a game. Receiver Gonzalez from Ohio State used to sleep in a special tent that mimicked high altitude. Regardless, he played well on almost no prep so I'm excited for the possibility. Hopefully he's hungry and can learn from some of our hard working pros on the D line.

He played well. Talent was never much of an issue for Marvin Austin. Attitude was, and I'm not just talking about the things that got him suspended.

So then you might be inclined to think a change of scenery, players around him might flip a switch in the talented player?.

Could you talk about the attitude you speak of, work ethic?

I think being so close to being out of the NFL entirely could do it.

Ok, we know he took some money, got suspended for the whole year, came back for the east west shrine game and combine with a good attitude and dominated..

1.63 in the 10 yard split, which is just ridiculous for a man 310, 38 reps on the bench, just tank like thru the hips and shoulders, and everywhere else, really took care of his body in college, seemingly pretty intelligent, says that he doesn't drink doesn't smoke, 4.85 roundabout average on the 40..I mean what do we think happened with this kid in New York?

Anyone ever tried these masks? I've definitely researched them before and most people have a lot of good things to say.

He could be a really good pick up if he has matured. I would love to see the Dolphins become one of the teams that physically gifted players with maturity issues can come to and blossom. Philbin is doing a good job of changing the culture.

FYI... Austin is the former Giant player who put the fourth qtr hit on Sanchez in the preseason that injured Sanchez's shoulder...

Well, look at him this way, if he pans out, he's our own Fat Albertson.

I'm a HUGE fan of adding physical talent, it is the building block of Dominance.

Those are crazy numbers. Unbelievable talent. I hope the change of scenery works for him, hope he liked the feeling of that tackle for loss on national tv. I am often amazed at how much a change of scenery can do for a player, I hope it's true for us and if so he will be considered a helluva pickup.

This is a very strong man pod, a man who actually works out to build his strength, his body is perfect for the job..I'm wondering why the bengals, lions, etc didnt sign this dude, pissass, I wish I knew..he said he was gonna make the giants pay for releasing him, tries out for about five teams and no one signs him...arm chair GM'n sucks

Motor, he may not have one Brother, his time in the wilderness may have inspired him to find that inner dragon.

How do you not have a motor during a workout for another team?..amazing right, he must show signs even during a workout his motor is weak..

I just wonder if that motor is predicated on location and his whereabouts, but I doubt it, chances are that motor is low horsepower..all we can do is hope.

He played at NC... maybe Todd or Sick knows his story. He was in quite a bit of trouble in college and seemed pretty immature and arrogant. He had some injury issues with a torn pec and his back as well. But couple an attitude issue with some on field laziness and teams aren't interested. And Coughlin isn't exactly Mr. Congeniality... ;-)

Talked to a lot of Giants fans about him and they all echoed the same things. He's very talented but lacks motivation and drive as well as having injury problems.

He's only 24 though. Not a bad project to have because he could be a beast if he ever gets consistent. He played well Monday night so hopefully he keeps it going. Hopefully the change of scenery does him well.

I guess you never know with the human mind..I always wonder if it's that easy for the switch to flip..maybe one coach who knows how to say the right things to inspire you, or is it something that the individual themselves have to have that awakening type moment, or once your lazy, your always lazy.

I always wonder about cam wake and his situation, how could such an explosively talented football player not get it, but it goes to show you that it's a very real situation and all based on humans being humans..until their ready to commit, this league will eat you up.

I think it's situational motivation like Albert Haynesworth...contract year beast standard year chump..maybe we get a gem and the light IS on but I think it's more likely he sees the door closing and a lot of money getting flushed down the toilet.

Mos def a scenario in play..but the kid was a rookie cut after two years, highly projected talent, still went in the 2nd round even though he was out the whole previous year, prolly not about the money why he failed..

B/c it does not work like that, GM's look at tape first and foremost the workouts are mainly bull****.

Does he have that Eye of the Tiger, will he forego partying etc in season b/c it distracts from being a killer?

We shall see, that Eye of the Tiger..it is not a measurable, it is not something you think you see, it is just there, put them on the field, it's there

I am sorry to bump an old post. But I whipped this up specifically for this site back when it was relevant. At the time though I could not post images. So now that I can...
