Would make no sense for Ross to sell before getting a new stadium.

Look at what happened with the Marlins. No way a publicly funded stadium gets a greenlight for at least another decade, maybe longer.

Ross has understandably been looking to sell a significant minority stake in the team since he bought out Huizenga. Trouble its simply not a good investment with the stadium situation as it is, except for someone who really, really wants to buy Ross out shortly after. Ross doesn't look like someone ready to move out of the majority position for a good while however.
End result is Ross having discussions with people but no deal. I imagine once conditions change he'll start the eventual drip drip sale. -
I don't know much about Zimmerman, but I know I don't care for Ross.

Ross is already 72 years old. So if he wants to see a new stadium in Miami before he is too old to appreciate it. He better fork over the millions of dollars it will take to get the stadium built, because the taxpayers of Miami aren't going to give him one red cent. Ross is a billionaire, Robbie was one of the poorest owners in the NFL at the time he build his stadium. If Robbie could build a brand new stadium without tax dollars, Ross should certainly be able to afford to build a new stadium without expecting any money from tax payers.oakelmpine and MAFishFan like this. -
