Had a jets fan ask me about Patterson. Said you'll be lucky to get 8 games out of him.

Omar Kelly did a radio interview with Rishard Matthews in which Matthews said Tannehill has been conducting WR drills twice a week for going on 3 weeks now. Working with the players and teaching them Lazor's offense because the coaches can't right now.

Philbin pushing miller, but that can be discussed in the Moreno thread.

Congrats man, that's awesome!

I think there is a lot of homerism involved with the Miller support in South Florida .IMO he is a change of pace back and not a full time starter .Moreno may not be one either but I think he will fulfill that role on this team at least through next year.He will get more plays simply because he is a better blocker than the other backs.Hopefully Miller will break some long ones while the defenses are paying more attention to Moreno.:yes:

Not saying they're the same players, but I did watch Arizona play Andre Ellington and Mendenhall together, stupidly sticking with Mendenhall way too much. Miller is much beefier than Ellington (and perhaps not as dynamic) but a better rusher IMO. I just want to see Miller with an OC that isn't brain dead and a mediocre run blocking line.

When you have a big crease, his quickness and initial burst is nice to hit the hole, but if he has to go through any contact, the play is basically over.

Also a couple time where I would have liked to see him put it in final gear but he didn't all season.

I got Ellington over miller at this point...he hasn't bitten in two years..

Lamar Miller might not turn out to be a really good all-around back, but I think he was pretty badly hindered this year. He's an outside runner and the team couldn't or wouldn't block outside runs worth a ****. They couldn't run an outside zone very well and pretty much refused to get the guys they had who could do longer pulls(Pouncey, Brenner) involved in that capacity.

There was times the guy hit the edge and turned the corner at the last minute and it was really a thing of beauty. Lazor has in the past used a lot bigger variety of run plays and seems to have treated it more than perfunctory, so there's hope he could put together and have properly blocked plays Miller works well on even if he's limited.

Nobody has picked up Patterson. Kind of surprised.

He's been injured for most of the last 2 years and is on record as refusing to play injured. So I'm not surprised he hasn't been picked up.

No way Miller is a better natural runner than Ellington unless viewed through aqua tinted glasses. Miller is about 2 inches taller and 10 lbs heavier, so yeah I guess that could be considered beefier and for pure speed Miller has more. Instincts as a runner matter more than speed though, and in that regard I'd take Ellington.
