Just got on the beta and that thing will barely run on my laptop unfortunately. BF3 runs fantastically. Never tried BF4 on it... but Hardline was unplayable for me. Oh well.
For Premium users, yes. That means the actual release is July 29, since Premium users get DLC 2 weeks ahead of full release. Also, I've learned how to drive tanks more effectively. The HMG makes a huge difference against infantry—the LMG is awful in comparison—and I've recently had a nice 44 kill round on Siege of Shanghai. I can now basically snipe with the HMG.
@Battlefield confirms Dragon's Teeth will be out on the 15th for Premium and the 29th for everyone else. There's also a 1.03 GB patch available right now for all platforms; Xbox One will get it tomorrow. Xbox One gets VOIP, too. Individual system changelogs are . PC changelog: There's also an update for the Commander app for mobile.
Here are some more upcoming patch notes. Don't see visual recoil changes from CTE being implemented yet, but likely with the DT release. http://imgur.com/a/uYlH5
Ahhhh gotcha. So the stuff I referenced will be in a future patch after DT release, and after the visual recoil patch. Either way, gotta commend Dice for the commitment to fixing the game. Insert "shouldn't have shipped broken game" here.
No such thing as a high ticket server with that, either. Imagine doing that during a 1500 ticket round. Ouch. So, Dragon's Teeth. I'm unimpressed with the map design and the new Chain Link mode, but the weapons are amazing. I'm unlocking everything for the MPX and I'm really amazed by how good it is. It's a PDW that feels like a carbine… so it's basically like the ACW-R with better recoil. I love it. The Desert Eagle is fun as hell too, even if they stupidly refer to it as the Deagle in game. The Unica 6 is fun, but no one uses it longer than they have to (to unlock the Desert Eagle), which is a shame.
I'm kind of liking the new maps, except pearl market. I've gone 33-9 on that map, and 13-15. I am usually always positive, but if I'm not, it is because of Pearl Market. Also, one round I went 3-14 because I was camping in the river on the Lumphini map to get 5 water kills to unlock the Unica. I got it eventually in the water at Sunken Dragon, if only I would've known how easy it was sooner. Bulldog - awesome. Need a squad support nearby though. Saw vids of people using this as a DMR with a med range scope and it actually performs better than DMRs, minus the range of course. Expect a nerf. MPX - really is a great gun. Expect a nerf. Unica - 1 kill with it. Might have to go to a pistol only server to unlock the Deagle. Deagle - Haven't unlocked it yet. But........expect a nerf lol. For real, if any of the three gets it, it is the Deagle.
All of the guns were tested in CTE before being released in Dragon's Teeth. I'm not expecting nerfs for any of them.
Sorry, I don't think swearing in an image is acceptable. I converted that to a text link, which should be OK. And yeah, that's definitely accurate. Sometimes I want a button that lets me reach through a support's monitor and ask him why he doesn't dispense ammo.
Where do I report Des for abusing his powers? lol and yes, i hate being around support and having to ask for ammo, only to have them finally acknowledge me, by looking directly at me, and proceeding to run away.
Phantam Initiate phase 3 password discovered. Lots of math; http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/2ccqx7/phantom_initiate_phantom_program_completion/
I don't know what's worse, that DICE expected that to be figured out, or that people actually figured it out.
I killed The Russian Badger and he edited it out of his video. Here's the battlelog. Shame it doesn't show one on one records.
Nope. He, like most other YouTubers, will play multiple rounds and then put together the most interesting footage, most interesting meaning where they perform the best. He joined during a previous round on Hainan Resort, which is probably where his intro clip comes from. And I just realized that most of the Propaganda footage in this video is from a completely different round, probably on a different server. Yeah, of course they only include the best parts. Coincidence you aren't in them? That's why the bosses twitch. Can't hide behind Sony Vegas or After Effects there. Still don't understand people who watch twitch though, unless it is a competitive setting. I can see how DOTA or LOL would be conducive of this. Just can't get into those MOBAs, but they do have the biggest E Sport following. Almost a religion ffs.
I'm caught up in my 24/7 Metro phase again. WITH EXPLOSIVES...only way to play. I just love the constant chaos, bottlenecks, strategies (yes, there are strategies in Metro) and satisfaction of capping B when playing the US side. The AEK destroys in Metro too. The padded stats are a nice compliment, but not why I'm there. Truth. Don't judge me.
I was burned out before Naval Strike. Took a while but now I can play for hours. To me, it's all about the map rotations. Find a server that plays the maps you like. That helps a lot. I like Hainan, Zavod, Altai, etc. I'm willing to put up with a server that has Golmud in its rotation if it means I can get to Zavod or Hainan reliably
Yeah, good point. I miss the vanilla maps. I play on PURE battlefield server. Usually populated with an all map rotation, but they shuffle the players each round to varying degrees (ticket differential after round) while for the most part keeping squads together to balance the next round. On Golmud I focus on A-B-C to stay away from the larger area vehicle combat. I should be getting in tanks to complete the first Phantom assignment though.
The best way to get the Phantom Prospect tank kills, IMO, is to play on Siege of Shanghai. Park a tank next to D facing at C, and take potshots at infantry using the HMG. The HMG is my favorite tank weapon. Kills quickly and has predictable bullet drop.
Thanks for the tip. I kind of like the LMG on the tank although I do currently have the HMG equipped.
The LMG is the equivalent of throwing pebbles. The spread and damage are both atrocious. Once you get used to the HMG, there's no going back, IMO.
