I don't expect this thread to go crazy... but meh. I'm a HUGE fane of the BF series. The guys at DiCE are the kings of territorial multiplayer madness. Besides 2142, I've put some major hours into just about all of them.

Bad Company is for the 360 and PS3. I just got the 360 verion and will prolly be crackin tonight. Anyone else plan to play?

I was a huge fan of the older BF games. I DLed the demo the other day of this game and it seemed totally different. I was hoping it was going to be like the older versions, but the demo reminded me alot of a typical FPS. It was ok I guess, but not at all what I expected from a game called "Battlefield".

I guess I went into the demo hoping forBF2, which was my favorite in the series. Hopefully I'll log back in tonight and get a review that totally blows my demo experience out of the water and gets me back to having hope for this game.

yeah I forgot to mention that I did like the destructable environment. That took me by surprise in the demo where the ****ing tank was shooting at me and blowing up the house I was hiding behind! I dunno, the videos I've seen of the game look good. The storyline is original though, with alot of comedy jabs thrown into the mix here and there.

I'm just hoping that the multiplayer lives up to previous versions. I used to play BF2 on the PC everyday/night with friends back in the day.

Ive only played 2142 of the BF series, and it's probably the best first-person shooter I've played. The unlock system was a great idea, combined w/ the medals/achievements the game has a ton of replay value.

I just checked metacritic and they seem to agree w/ you that it's the worse in the series. I'm a bit sad I missed out on them now.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this game. The biggest decision it to figure out which system to get it for.

I've been playing the demo alot. The online multiplayer is pretty fun, and it reminds me alot of BF2. I just wish I could learn how to fly the friggin chopper!

I may have to buy this game!

If you guys liked the BF series on PC you should check out Frontlines. It is more like the classic BF than Bad Company is.

I've played the Frontlines demo. It was easier to fly the chopper for sure, but I like the Battlefield game better. I like that you can unlock things such as missle strikes, etc.

Finally beat this game. Lots of fun. I could never find all the gold or collectibles in each level it seemed though. :pity:

BF:BC2 had been slated for the end of January on amazon (same day as Mass Effect 2), but today I got an e-mail saying it was pushed back to March 2nd.

Yep Battlefield:BC2 is due out March 10, 2010. That is what the Beta is saying anyway which I have been playing way too much. I'm officially a Battlefield junkie...I even went out and got Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for the 360.

Im absolutely stoked for BC2. I wish they had aerial combat as they do in the their PC titles(and even in BF1943), but from what Ive seen the ground combat is much more compelling than they had even done in the first Bad Company. It looks to be more like CoD ground combat to me in the videos, fast paced and frenetic. Obviously what sets this series apart from COD is their array of vehicles and the impact it has on gameplay. For any COD fans who would like to mix things up every now and then but still love the modern FPS setting...this is your game. Its far more cooperative & strategic than most FPS, and the guys designing this game have really been the masters of online warfare this decade.
