I don't think he's a bad reclamation project for some team, but I'm not sure if it is Miami. I think basically you want to look at guys who are good outside zone runners to project interest from the Dolphins, and Wells as far as I know has been at his career best following a pulling guard in man schemes.
I think Wells could be a good Thunder too Millers Lightning.... He has very good vision and runs north and south. Worth a 2M a year flyer for sure.
Released because of his lack of contribution in the passing game. Not sure if he would fit here or not on that basis.
This. If we're talking about rushers who don't contribute to the passing game, then Mendenhall is a better target.
He isn't a fit here and isn't worth the contract right now. He is beyond injury prone and isn't a big time runner when healthy.
He is being released because he cannot stay on the football field. Wells is on IR more often then on the active roster and when he is active he does basically close to nothing.
this. Even though he's probably hell-bent on proving to himself and the world he can be a great NFL back, I don't see him being an appropriate fit.
**** no. Never seen a man that big get taken down by ankle tackles that frequently in my life. Said he was over rated when he came out, and he still is. No thank you, even if he pays us instead.
