According to Bleacher Report, Ben V. is going to be the Boston Globe beat writer for the Patriots. Anyone hear this? I am probably behind on this information.
I now see where he announced this in his newspaper section on Friday, 10th.

yeah he confirmed it near the draft. Said he would still cover the draft and he was leaving shortly after. Good for him, Bigger paper and better opportunity. I enjoyed his insite with the Dolphins, and believed he was one of the better beat reporters. Why couldn't the Patriots take Omar instead. First Welker and now Volin.:pity:

Volin was head and shoulders the best reporter on the Dolphins watch.
Hate to see him go. -
Not a single meh was given that day...

There absolutely should be some interest, Ben Volin is one of the few decent media personalities involved with the Dolphins. There are like three.
-
Yeah, but even fantasy writers would bring up more interesting and cogent points than our decent three headed meh...

Dave Hyde will give you five reasons why he is the middle aged reincarnation of little lord fauntleroy...

Darlington a while back, now Volin....guess we're destined for less than mediocrity in beat writers....S. Fl is so far behind the rest of the NFL cities it's almost funny...

Hyde seems like he doesn't care anymore to me. I get the feeling he is going through the motions.
He should never been a writer that covered sports. He should cover people. His feature on Jake Scott was amazing. His football insight, however, is barely better than a fairweather fan's who watches maybe 3-4 games a year.Da 'Fins likes this. -
Omar kisses so much ***, he sends Bible tweets to homeland security...

Exactamundo...I think he shot himself in the mouth and ****ed it up.

Yeah, while Omar is reminescent of Ol' Dirty Bastard collecting food stamps...

Omar is that strange bird that becomes more cocky the more he's shown to be wrong. He started out humble, and as time passed and as he was shown how wrong his views were, he became more bitter and that strengthened his resolve in being wrong. As that happened, his readership increased because everyone loves to be annoyed, and that further validated him even though it doesn't really. Occasionally, it occurs to him that he's been wrong a lot and that his reader numbers are high because people hate him...and he starts to question what he's doing....but he snaps out of it pretty quickly.Pandarilla likes this.

Ben Volin just lost a twitter follower. Not because I dislike Volin, but to read him wax eloquently about the Pats may make me puke. Sorry Ben.
