Bengals DE/SLB David Pollack has decided to retire.
Coach Marvin Lewis confirmed that Pollack is "headed to retirement." A 2005 first-round pick, Pollack fractured his C6 vertebrae two years ago. The Georgia alum wound up playing in 17 games with 29 tackles and four sacks.

sad to hear, but better than life in a wheelchair, or worse.

i am not a UGA fan, but always admired him when he played i the SEC. the guy had a motor like few others.

by all accounts was a standup guy too. got a buddy who works with his aunt, and i had heard this was coming.
