thats disappointing news for Benson. I thought he was going to be great when he made it to the nfl. But the bears never seemed to try and use them. Rightly so I guess since Thomas Jones was still running wild for them, but it seemed like benson was just starting to get rolling last year when he got hurt too, thats a shame for him. If he can fully recover, I don't see him being out of work too long.
I absoultely LOVED LOVED Benson in Texas, I thought he was Ricky 2.0 for sure. Now, I dont know what to think of him other then wth happend?
Bears head coach Lovie Smith met with Arkansas running backs Darren McFadden and Felix Jones on Monday. The Bears were thought to be seeking an offensive tackle with the 14th pick, but the pursuit of competition for RB Cedric Benson could be genuine. It has been suspected that Benson's rehabilitation from a fractured left ankle is not going smoothly, in which case he could be phased out of the team's plans. Injuries never make a player a bust IMO, unless there were injury flags before you drafted him. And he has a 3.8 ypc for career.
