Cedric Benson was back on the police blotter, but it had nothing to do with boating in Texas.
The Bears running back appeared in court Thursday in Skokie to pay a $510 fine for speeding through a construction site on the Edens Expy., according to WBBM.com. Benson also was sentenced to four months supervision for the incident, which apparently happened last month.
Benson reportedly was going 77 in a 45 mph zone after 3 a.m., according to the Web site.
The report said Benson was driving a 2005 BMW with Texas plates and said police described Benson as cooperative.
