There were some seriously $**tty calls by the refs. If they want the other team to win, just spot them some points and lets get on with it. I just wish they would let the players play and not have to always worry about bogus calls that are given to the offense.

i think Berman is glad the game got high ratings and he got more exposure and possibly more money as a result.

Seriously! There were some BS calls. Big time BS calls. But we came through and won in spite of them. Those calls could have killed us. But our offense bailed us out in a big way.

 

Seriously the whole setup of the game it was crap. It was as if ESPN could give 2 ****s about the game, and tried as hard as possible to turn it into some Hispanic Heritage marketing ploy. The refereeing was so bad, I seriously thought the NFL payed them to fix the game so the Hispanic QB comes out with a win....

 

It was hispanic heritage week. That's why Obama spoke in spanish in the pre-game video and the first call the refs made was in spanish.

 

A lot of terrible, terrible calls... but I thought, "If Miami is destined to win, they will."

And they did.

Someone in the game thread suggested the PI call should be changed to a 10 yard penalty, instead of at the spot of the foul. Same as it is in college. I support that 100%, I don`t know why the NFL doesn`t. Probably because they are too stubborn to change it to admit that college is doing something right, same as the 2pt convert... and the overtime. :up:

On a questionable call like that one on will allen against braylon edwards... 49 yards is just absurd. Unless we are going to be 100% certain that the WR would have caught that pass, theres no way it should be a spot foul. Just my opinion though.. .:up:

But the ref calls were such BS. The phantom PI call on Will Allen was terrible. Terrible. Even though we won, I hope our team sends the refs something. There is no way that was PI under any interpretation of the rule.

Very true. But you don't let bad calls like that go, or else you will only get 50% of the calls right.

Another question, what's the Hines Ward rule? Does that hit Leon Washington laid on Crowder call for a fine? You know the non looking defender? Or is that only on INts etc? Or was it perpendicular enough not to be a penalty?

The one call I think went for us was the touchdown to Braylon on the left sideline, I think it was TD oh well.

Yeah I know, but we want the refs to only call it when it really happens. They're rendering DBs almost impotent! Not crying about it, just saying, hey refs, get it right, call it right, and play on!

i was at the game, and the refs were booed almost as bad as the jets. they seriously attempted rape on us. we beat then, and the jests. we have a lot to be happy about. they all but gift wrapped them this game.

fortunately, we just kep shoving the ball down thier throats, and just could not be stopped.

 

he refs tried to rob us but we overcame them. unbelievable
