Best Console For Madden

I never played Madden on Xbox, so I can't help you there. But I absolutely hate playing sports on PS, the controllers just aren't setup right IMO and then there are the glitches, loading times, etc. I like playing Madden on the Wii, it takes a little while to get used to but it's fun.

 

Its only a matter of time before the PS3 version is better than the 360 version. Both elite versions of the consoles have HDMI wires included with them. I have the 360 elite and am more then pleased with it. I however still find myself leaning towards the PS2 Madden game over next gen. I dont like the game play. PS3 last yr was horrid. The response time was terrible. The 360 has alot of glitches as well that I'm hoping get fixed. The whole thing with the next gen. games is gameplay takes a hit for the sake of Graphics. and that, IMO, sux. I will take a great playing game with minimal graphics over a mediocre playing game with excellent graphics. My advice to you is to look at the broader picture in what you want out of a system. The PS3 is also a Blue Ray player which is very popular for that reason. Alot of the games are not as good as the games you can get on 360. but as I said, they should catch up soon. Xbox is a great system, but I don't know how much more you're going to get out of it than you are now.

 

It depends on a number of factors. For me, it's all about hardware reliability. I'm a poor college student and if I'm going to put $350-400 on a console, I want something reliable. I had horrible experiences with my Xbox from year 1 onward. Xbox 360 scared me with that 33% fail rate issue (although you get a three year warranty) and dirty disc errors galore.

For that reason, despite the fact I like xbox more then PS (from controller to games) I had to make sure I got what I paid for. Wal-Mart offered a $100 gift card with a PS3 purchase and I jumped at it.

There's a plethora of factors to consider. That was my biggest and most important factor.

 

I'd say 360 only because EA games generally run significantly better. Tack on that Live is the best thing since peanut butter and it's money. If you're buying a new 360, you need not worry about RRoDs because the falcon chipset corrected it (there's a thread somewhere that tells you how to see the difference from the box).

Plus, for me... the 360 version is free.

For me, I have the older Xbox with no HDMI hookup, so if the game is released on all 3 I get it on PS3 because it looks much better through the HDMI.

 

VGA can make a picture look just as good as hdmi, which is what I have on my 360. Unless Madden comes out with a HD soundtrack both machines are capable of the same thing pretty much (the 360 can't output HD tracks through optical). I will probably be getting NCAA and Madden for 360 because I have more friends on 360 and am more likely to play a casual game online with them.

And I don't get what you mean by saying "for everyone else the PS3 is free?"

 

I thought he was talking about online play when he was talking about free but looking back I'm thinking he probably means the game. I'm stupid. My bad.

 

the noise the 360 makes during general usage has started getting on my nerves...thats the biggest thing i like about my ps3 is that is is silent.

not sure which console i will get it for this year

 

I have both (an old 360 at that), luckily the noise is hardly noticeable on either.

 

i sit about 4 feet from my consoles and about 5 feet from the tv in my den, so i am sure that has something to do with it

also with the baby i can't turn the volume up too loud.

 

I know alot of people don't care... But there's also achievements. Which my brother and I have turned into a healthy nerd competition of gamerscore whoring.

 

I haven't played it on 360. I hated it on the PS3. The graphics aren't up to the other's standards but I really enjoy the gameplay on the Wii.

 

Wont be released for the pc? What kind of shhhhh is that?
