Big Bad Tearrius George was brought into the NFL by the Dolphins @ about the same time as Cameron Wake. At 6'4" & a solid 260 with good speed, George may be a strong contender @ ILB or OLB, he's played both. Haven't found a lot on him. Aside from he apparently had a very respectable game in the cold country & has hopes of continuing his winning ways with the Miami dolphins. He'll have to really prove to be something special with the LB Corp we've assembled for 2009. Anybody have more info in the guy, opinions, impressions, whatever?
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YDkFU8wbp4"]YouTube - Tearrius George[/ame] He's an undersized CFL DT at 260, he sheds really quickly (in the highlight vid) but other then that, couldn't really say much about him but he does keep on sticking around so they must like him.
Alright, here is his scouting report from 2006: And he was with the Cowboys and Saints and Jets for stints.
It's difficult to tell what T George could be, he's 260, and not really fast, but he does play "fast" as it were, but he's too small to be a DE, maybe not fast enough to be a OLB. We'll see.
Know a buddy that played high school ball w/ him in NC... and another who follows K-State very closely...so i've watched him for a while...great instincts, fluid hips, relentless attitude, could stack and shed a little quicker. Overall:sky's the limit, could potentially start one day
I just watched one of Sparano's rookie camp press videos and he mentioned George as a LB. I guess we will see?
hey don't forget Terrell Suggs ran in the 4.8s that 40 time isn't a be all end all time.i'd like to know more about his measurables 10 yd split how explosive is he? broad jump ,vertical jump .if he's on the inside can he change directions? 3 cone and short shuttle times. can he stack and shed or does he run around blocks. with his size he could be the downhill thumper we sorely need on the inside lb.
Friend GoCane Finatic: would be a serious Canadian coup, if Parcells could walk away with two starting caliber LB's.
Unknowns dwh, T George's combine numbers are no longer easily findable. I will point out that he was looked at by 3 different teams, so he does have talent. I couldn't find a report on him from 2006. BTW, The Rams Otogwe and our Joey Thomas both spent time in the CFL, Trey Darilek was also a CFLer.
a lot of potential firepower in the LB corp doesn't bode well for Taylor although. I'm sure Ross would love to see him return (instant "star power")
