Seeing that image, makes one wonder why GreenPeace or the Sea Shepherd people aren't getting involved.

What hypocrites these people are. Even Jesus hung out with whores. He and Mary Magdalene were tight. Read a Bible sometime. Sheesh.

Not at whore houses..Jesus went to the equivalent of Taverns and ate and presumably drank with Whores, Tax Collectors, and other riff raff.

My biggest concern, outside of the blackmail the church is conducting on patrons of the strip club, is this statement:

To me, this is where a lot of Christians (and people of other faiths) go wrong.

Besides the obvious fact that "lightness and darkness" absolutely need each other to exist, I find it disheartening, that people think they need to remove temptation and sin to prove their faith. If temptation is removed, then faith becomes meaningless. What good is faith if every decision one is faced with is a choice between two "godly" options?

I think the point of Christianity, is to remove sin from your own life as best you can, by circumnavigating the pitfalls of temptation. From there you can be an example and beacon to others. What's going on here hass more of a Gestapo feel.

Some of this congregation are getting it right by offering assistance and compassion to the strippers should they choose to use it. But the overall attack on this lawful business is where they are straying from their faith, IMO.

I used to get angry at these "type" of people too. Now I view them as simply, misguided.

Both parties have the right to protest, I just think the church side is missing the point of their own faith.

I agree that part is wrong and should be stopped immediately by the law. Blackmail is blackmail.

My point of this thread was to get to a deeper discussion about why so many people of faith feel the need to force their will on others and how that's almost always counter to the actual scriptures they subscribe to.

Blackmail requires payment, they never asked for a single penny or "they'd let their wives know".

    Well away from here
Turn about is fair play. You picket me for my beliefs, be prepared to be picketed yourself.

I love the quoting of the bible on the signs. What would be funny is if the guys who do writing down of license plates were themselves subjected to the same treatment? Would they like every detail of what they did today told to their moms? Not everyone of those people in that church is a saint.

Are these same parishoners traveling to other churches where priests have been implicated in molesting children and writing down what those people are doing and telling their mothers? My advice would to make sure your own house is in order before you worry about mine.

He hung out with them, accepted them for who they were. Defended them against stone-throwers, etc. And, according to some theories, even made nookie with one...GASP!!!!!!!!

EDIT: And about the stone-throwing, methinks a lot religious folk conveniently skipped that part of the Good Book.

As for blackmail, are you advocating that it would have been better to simply mail the information?

Hmm. Why is this a Bible discussion again? Is blackmailing strip club patrons a commandment?

Did I say something that was counter to the Bible?

    ????
I'm advocating they not threaten strip club patrons. Thought that was pretty clear.

Rode it the year it opened.

Looking at it from the ground defies logic. It literally doesn't make sense when you look at it.

The guy in the front row, had 15 bugs tattooed to him when we got of the coaster.

Seems rather clear, it is sound philosophy in Christianity to first contact and share the concern with behavior before doing anything else.

Aw hell...I'm leaving for Disney ON the 18th. Damn we could have met somewhere. What time you leaving? I'm landing around noon and staying at Caribbean Beach. If you're leaving later in the day let me know, maybe we can work something out.

I'm planning a trip to CP next spring.

Did you hang on during the first drop? I let go for like a few seconds but then my equilibrium got all messed up and I had to grab the bar.
It is. Just recently refurbished. Funny thing about Space Mt. is that it only travels like 25 mph. Just seems crazier because of the dark.

Perfect thing to go on when your feet are screaming after doing the Magic Kingdom Death March.

Bro, too bad you weren't staying until the next Saturday. The wife and I are going to the Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom. I'm completely psyched because I know my costume is going to cause....well....let's just say it'll attract attention.

    I'll give you a hint. :devil2:
